Last week, a reader started a DW donation drive on the forums, which I embraced and posted about here on the main page. The drive was a success and we raised enough money to pay for six months of hosting fees! Thank you so much to those who contributed, who helped spread the word, and who just shared words of support. Since this was such a success, I think I’ll start doing two week-long donation drives a year, PBS-style (of course, you’re welcome to donate any time and don’t have to wait for a drive!). This particular drive was unexpected, but next time I’ll be better prepared and hope to have some award packages to offer as gifts to donors. For now, I’d like to publicly thank everyone who has donated in the 2013 calendar year. I started a “Thanks” page (you can see the tab above in the menu bar) where you’ll find a list of DW community members who have made contributions this year.
