Can I brag on Jackson for a minute? This morning, his babysitter, who watches him three mornings a week and has been a professional nanny for over 20 years and has raised three kids of her own and has three grandchildren, said that Jack is the most pleasant baby she’s ever known. Someone go back in time and tell me that when Jackson still screamed nonstop and I was afraid I’d given birth to the world’s unhappiest child.

i think almost every mom thinks that at some point (they have the unhappiest child ever). my friend said something to the effect of he’s actually fun this summer about her baby. i remember back to last summer and her saying that she didn’t know if she could do this and her being so frustrated. i’m glad you both are happier and so are your babies! 🙂

I cried (almost nonstop) until I was 4. I bet that’ll make you feel good!
He’s so cute! I love Jackson (and Miles) pictures!

My cousin and his wife adopted a baby, and he’s literally the best infant/baby ever. No one has ever seen him cry or fuss and he eats and sleeps completely on schedule. So my cousin wants to have another one asap, but they are afraid they’ll get a bad baby the next time! haha.

I was apparently the loudest baby in the world– not even crying, but SCREAMING, my mom tells me. Nobody ever complimented my behavior (at least not until I was older!)
He is adorable, as always, & I love that Miles is just chillin’ in the background. Looks like a pleasant scene 🙂

I was the good baby, my sister was a terror (colicky) First born kids in my family have traditionally been awesome as babies but maybe not the best as they got older. *cough* not me of course *cough* I was always a good kid *cough*

What a darling photo! I love Miles’ semi-surprised posture.
According to my mama, I was an extremely difficult child until the age of 7… then matured overnight. My brother was the exact opposite. Guess you can never predict how people will turn out- but try to provide the most loving, supportive environment possible.

Aww, that’s great, Wendy. I love when people comment on my baby’s temperament too. I mean, you can be a great parent and still have a miserable baby, but it does make you feel like you’re doing something right when your baby is happy. Glad your little guy is as happy as he is cute 🙂

The babe with the power!
Betsy August 28, 2012, 9:35 pm
What power?
Lydia August 29, 2012, 5:19 am
The power of voodoo!

Oh how could you not brag about that? What a cutie, living the happy baby life. He’s so precious! You never forget any of it, either– don’t worry, you have it forever. When he is 21 and you see him and hug him, your heart will soar just the same way it does now.

I love his red hair! You’re so lucky, Wendy.

Ahhhh, Jackson is so freaking adorable! I love it. I’m sure you’re very relieved that he is now done with his screaming stage. I nannied a baby that just screamed and cried for months and one day it was like the sun came out, and she was so mild tempered from then on. The relief was mind blowing. haha
