I am sure he means it… a visit is fun and no-commitment, right? So he’s saying, if we’re still in contact and like each other, you should [spend thousands of dollars if it’s summer and] come visit. I think he’s being pretty reasonable about the whole thing and at least he’s not BS’ing you like, yes! I totally see us together 6 months from now! Taking it day by day makes sense.

I have a date with New Dude next week (I feel like I need to come up with a better name for him) and I decided to get him a small gift. Kind of like a combination x-mas/b-day/good-luck gesture. He’s a huge beer fan, so I got him a “Beer Bible”, it’s a guide to all the ales/lagers of the country he’s going to. And I also got a travel guide with maps, transit tips, etc.

I love picking out gifts for people, so I hope he likes it 🙂
