Sending you good labor and delivery vibes MG!!

I do think I might start up PT again. In the last 5 weeks, my back went out three times. That’s unsustainable. It hadn’t gone out since January so I’m not sure what’s going on. It sucks.

PT was a godsend.. I’m not sure if it’s because I started right away or because this is just a different baby, but I’ve been mobile the entire time (unlike last time when I was hobbling around starting at 33 weeks). Can’t be sidelined with a toddler that needs to be chased.

Thanks all… will let you know the outcome and major differences pre-pandemic versus post. So far, doctors and care has been great. I know they are struggling through this as well (limiting their personal risks in order to safely, effectively and consistently provide care.. where some of us can “afford” some risk, they cannot. The mental exhaustion for them is real)

MG-do you go somewhere in the Loop?

I didn’t love my last one. I’m interested in finding a new person or group. Also prefer recommendations.

I do! Printer’s Row Athletico actually (the one on state and 8th). I see Ally Walker. She’s the DPT there and also specializes in pelvic/womens health. Young, personable, very very nice.

Speaking of pelvic/women’s health, I noticed that my back is weaker when I’m on my period. I’m on the Mirena but still have light bleeding and cramps. TMI. Sorry.

Ooh, would you see if she has a rec in River West or West Loop?

I will ask her! It’s good to have someone who specializes in women’s because most imbalance will come from weak pelvic floor or hip imbalance.

    Sending you good thoughts, MG!

PT has been a godsend for me. I could barely turn my neck to the left, and was having painful muscle spasms in my neck and back weekly. I’m not happy that the room I was in had unmasked people, but they were very far away from me- probably 40+ feet, behind a plexiglass room divider that was probably ten feet tall and I was only in the room for 8 minutes both times. That is probably the riskiest thing I’ve done.

Repairing my neck has helped me become better at working out at home. I’m lucky that we had a pretty well stocked home gym before Covid hit.

I have been waiting for the bowflex adjustable weights to get back in stock. FB marketplace has them for nearly 2x’s as much. I can’t see overpaying, so I’ll keep my eyes open. ktfran, i just sent Ally a message, and when I hear something, I’ll DM you on FB

MG, those are the ones we have. They’re awesome. Take up very little space and go from 5 to 50 lbs.

I’ve heard great things! Plus, I love that you can get the stand for them. Our workout area is also the guest room/kid rumpus room so being able to get them out of harms way is important. Now to just NOT pay $600
