@Copa, you can always try the antique/vintage ring avenue. We got mine at Beverley R’s, but I wear a plain rose gold band 90% of the time. Also.. courthouse is the way to go!!! I vote San Fran with a casual bbq back in Chicago.

Also, my son is so stinking cute. I forgot how little they are! My 2 year old is adjusting pretty well, but has some “terrible two” moments now and again. My parents just left to go back home, so now I”m on my own. Wish me luck
Yes, the Revlon one step styler & volumizer.
Pros: inexpensive, easy, smoothes out even curly hair, fast, gives you a straight blowout with volume in one step
Cons: You can really only do one look, it gets super hot on high setting and a lot of people say they need the high setting.
I also really like the John Frieda one, and it gives more wave at your ends but is not as fast.
And finally, I invested in the Dyson Airwrap and it blew my mind.

haha i knew i would say “hot brush” and kate would appear! Magic! I have the conair spin brush currently but you need to partially dry your hair for it to work best and then I feel like the spinning is probably not the greatest for my hair?
Right, the John Frieda is like that but doesn’t spin. And you need to rough dry or air dry first to like 60-80%.
You shouldn’t use the Revlon on really wet hair either, or any brush. Before you start styling, your hair should be partially dry. That only takes me 1-2 minutes with a dryer though, hitting my roots.
I have the Revlon and John Frieda brushes. The Revlon is very fast (I use it on high, it is very hot, but my hair isn’t any worse from it according to my stylist). The end result is like you got a blowout with a paddle brush. It even gets my sister’s very curly hair, VERY thick hair straight in a relatively short amount of time. My style with it withstands humidity very well (did both Savannah and Nashville in July with that one). I’ve seen it at Costco, if you’re a member.
The John Frieda one takes longer but the end result is nicer. This one doesn’t pass the humidity test for me, which was a bummer.
I don’t find either one does much for me in terms of volume, but I have thick hair so I’m okay on that front.
I’ve also seen T3 hair tools at Costco, which are pricier but nice if you are in the market for a “normal” hair dryer.
I think the Costco version of the Revlon is titanium or something and a little smaller, which might give you more of a bend at the ends. You get some with the regular one but not a wave.
Nothing holds up for me in humidity unless I have a $$$smoothing treatment in my hair.
I haven’t paid attention to if the Costco one is identical, but yeah, often their products are a little different. My sister had the Revlon one and loved it (she used to spend SO much time straightening her hair instead of rocking her natural curls). Hers crapped out after a few years of frequent use and when she purchased a new one, got a knock-off that she seems to like just as much. It might be Hot Tools? I’m not sure the brand, but I think at this point several companies have their own versions or Revlon’s, so you can take a look at price points. I’ve seen on on Amazon that might well be Amazon brand that’s cheaper but gets just as good reviews.
