@MaterialsGirl, date 4 went well! Unfortunately after a couple more dates I realized there were some mismatched interests and decided to end it.
I am defending my Masters in a week and a half and landed a new job that I will start next month, which requires me to move. So regardless I wouldn’t have been able to maintain the relationship long distance.
I am quite busy now with getting ready for the defense and getting all the bells and whistles for my move sorted.
Not dating related, but if anyone has a rec for rain boots they actually like, I’m all ears. I sold my old pair on Poshmark (Hunters) on Poshmark last year cause I didn’t like ’em (too tall for my height), but the nonstop rain we’re having here makes me think it’s time to pull the trigger on a new pair.
I just have some black rubber like Chelsea-boot style ones from Amazon and they’re good. Just an ankle boot so you can’t tuck pants in, but lightweight and good for commuting.
If the only issue you had with Hunter is the height, you could try their ankle-height option. I had knee-high hunters, too, and I never wore them. I sold them and bought some duck boots from LL Bean. Not trendy, but cute enough and they’re comfy and super functional and I guess at 45, that’s good enough for me.
I really like BOGS! They are more insulated than other brands, and thicker sole as well. I have almost knee high, but I believe they also sell calf high styles too.
