So the husband is testing negative for Covid and we’re going to keep out short NYC getaway this weekend. He had two free nights at a Hilton property we had to side by July and this was the only free weekend. Anyway… we’re staying in lower Manhattan.

Any food recs? Don’t want overpriced tourist traps. Would totally go to Brooklyn too. What about MOMA? Or is there a better museum we should check out? We’re basically planning on walking around and chilling. We’re only staying two nights.

I haven’t been to NYC since my sister left the city, but I used to LOVE the High Line!

Def hit up the High Line the weather should be great for it.
My favorite museum is alllll the way uptown – the Cooper Hewitt. It’s a small museum built in a former mansion so small for a museum, big for a house. They’ve got some really cool museum tech and you can go through the whole place and not feel overwhelmed by the end. There’s also a little cafe and you can sit outside in the garden with a cup of coffee.

Since you’re downtown, you can also take the ferry out to Liberty / Ellis Island. you don’t even have to get off the boat – just sit out on the water and do a loop out to the Statue of Liberty and back.

I would go to the MOMA in a heartbeat. Because I’m dying to go and haven’t been in such a long time. And didn’t the Guggenheim do a huge renovation? I’m vicariously very excited for you.

Enjoy your trip, whatever you do!

Just reporting out that the Glossier vitamin C (and, apparently, magnesium) serum is noticeably evening out my skin tone. So, that’s nice.

Like with redness, or pigmentation? I’ll try that next.

I feel like it’s helping with some pigmentation issues… my skin tone looks more even to me after a couple weeks of use. I was debating between Glossier and a Dermalogica product that has the same inactive form of vitamin C and promises to deliver similar results, but Glossier was like 1/3 of the price.

One of my favorite dates was at the coffee shop too I really enjoyed the long conversations about pretty much anything. We were sitting outside as the place closed, the guy working inside saw us and turned up the music that was playing, I took that as a sign and have been dating her since.

@Wendy, we had to cancel the trip :(. Work got crazy and I had to work over the Memorial Day weekend. SO BUMMED! I’m swamped through Friday, so I told my manager I was taking a day next week and not using any PTO. And on that day, I want to see the new Jurassic movie!!

    Yay hfantods! It’s almost here.
