This group (which is networked with a bunch of doctors) claims to be having a lot of success diagnosing and treating people with long haul symptoms. Yeah, did you talk to an employment lawyer about the situation with laying you off from a place you got Covid? And aren’t they obligated to offer you health insurance continuation (COBRA)? It’s expensive but at least you still have your insurance while you look to sign up for marketplace insurance. It may be perfectly legal to lay you off after you got Covid at work, but it might be shady and not okay.
I always consult an employment lawyer when something happens at work. It has 100% always been worth the few hundred bucks because it has led me to be able to negotiate for more, or keep myself from getting into a precarious situation.
Again, for people who are disgusted by the idea of consulting an attorney, this is NOT about litigating, it’s about advocating for yourself. Employers are only looking out for their interests, not yours.

Not a lawyer, and am not supplying legal advice, but having worked in corporate law, it’s worth talking to a lawyer because sometimes a company is more than happy to pay a nice chunk of change to make you go away. Assisted living facility just cancelled my visit with my mother again due to being in COVID “outbreak” mode. Drove 8 hours to visit, haven’t seen her in months and now it’s cancelled due to anti-vax assholes who won’t stop spreading this damned disease. With states and possible Federal rules for employment, I’ve no problem if people lose their livelihood because they can’t seem to understand they live in society not their delusional dystopian post-apocalyptic existence. If you can still get a burger at Applebee’s then society is still functioning.
Luckily the anti-vax nonsense that resulted in measles outbreaks has set case law for this.
I am enjoying watching GOP politicians implode as they realize that at this point, the majority of people dying from COVID are their voters.
