not sure this will be helpful….but a few years ago me and my parents decided that each christmas we would pick a place to travel to (New York City, Chicago) and the trip would count as our gift to each other….on christmas day we do stockings with small stocking stuffers (nothing too expensive….candy, toiletries, puzzle books, lottery tickets, things like that)….this year we are doing a cruise to new zealand and a few islands in french polynesia….now that me and my brother are grown it just makes christmas so much easier to just pick a cool place to go and get away from it allOctober 24, 2018 at 11:49 am #805848
This sounds so good. I for sure think these will come post move, new car, oh gosh soon enough two cars and new house…but then there will be new baby. Ahh. Ok. One day we will fit it in. I do love this idea.October 25, 2018 at 4:06 pm #806061
cdobbs -that is a very nice idea. This year instead of a birthday gift my mom and I went to New Orleans. But now that I think about it I paid for the hotel and my flight. Damn, I paid for my own gift!
Eh, no biggie. I’ll make her take us to Miami for her birthday.October 26, 2018 at 6:29 pm #806208
Ok guys. Full on hissy fit right now. Also i have had two glasses of wine and I don’t drink anymore so…also, my pours so maybe not quite two. Meaning more not less.
My damn husband already bought a new pool stick while I was out of town for a month. He did once say I shouldn’t leave him unsupervised. I am so frustrated!! Why do men just buy what they want!! Argh. Now I have to think of a whole new gift.
I am getting him some new boots and a North Face shell but I REALLY wanted to get him something a little bit special.
I better be freaking pregnant. Poppy thought I was so I’m holding onto that hope since that is an Xmas gift enough, plus saves us about 25k.
Dang men. This is why they are so hard to shop for.November 2, 2018 at 10:30 am #806749
JD what about a money clip for all of his pool hustlin’ cash?November 2, 2018 at 10:36 am #806750
I like money clips but a.) he doesn’t play for money it’s a team, actually you will be kicked out of team for doing so…although if they get to finals there is a prize that is split. Also, he doesn’t like them and I got him a nice, slim, wallet from Tumi for V day. He is so dang difficult to shop for.November 2, 2018 at 10:36 am #806751
Actually, he also rarely carries cash at all. Nor do i. We really need to get better about that, hate when we have to run to the ATM for some small thing when debit can’t be used.November 2, 2018 at 11:13 am #806754
If you’re in the middle of sticks, why not get tickets for something near the closest city? One year I got my husband a baking class at a fancy nearby place. He doesn’t cook much and I wasn’t sure he’d like it, but he did. I also buy or make a new family ornament every year, starting when I had my first. I don’t know if your step kids do any art but I’ve ordered custom art ornaments.November 2, 2018 at 11:16 am #806755
Hmmm I shall look into that. Men are the worst. If you ask me I could make a list a mile long of stuff I want. 🙂 Him: I don’t know, whatever babe. Help me here man!
side note i just sprayed perfume into my mouth when I walked through it and now it is all I can taste…bla.December 5, 2018 at 11:13 am #811004
