Oh I have so many crushes on celebrities….like if Richard Dormer (plays Beric Dondarion on Game of Thrones) had an email I would absolutely email him (what have you got to lose LW?)….hey you only live once and if you are attracted to this woman then go for it!

    NO.

Do not encourage the OP to email at this woman’s work email. It is for WORK, it’s not set-up for strange men to solicit her for dates. If you somehow got Richard Dormer’s professional email, you shouldn’t spam him with your adoration, either.

MAAAAYYYYYBBBEEE if she is single and he finds her on a dating app, he could message her there. If she has indicated she is interested at connecting romantically with people on such a platform, it would be okay for him to try to contact her there. Or any woman for that matter. If he’s willing to email a stranger to ask them on a date, it shouldn’t be such a big deal to do it on a dating site.

What if it’s a fan page?

If it’s an officially sanctioned fan page – where the explicit function is to be an outlet for people whom are fans and adore said celebratory, sure go for it. Dollars to donuts that celeb isn’t monitoring it themselves, and even if they are, they know what sorts of messages are going to come through it.

But if you find Richard Dormer’s work email, where casting directors or his manager or whomever would get in touch with him about his career, nope.

Yeah, due to security concerns this will only SOUND an alarm. Even if your truly sincere.

My mom has a neighbor who is a female news anchor in a large midwestern city. Due to men like the OP, The poor lady and her family have had to fortify their property, to include a security system, a tall privacy fence, and a gate which they keep locked at all times, even when they are home. Even though she uses a “stage name” for her broadcasting job, creepy stalkers have still been able to find her house. Most are benign and just want dates (like this OP hopefully), but some are not so nice and have threatened to murder her and her family. So please do not email the news anchor. I guarantee your email will be relegated to the “might need to get a restraining order” folder and will not get a response.

I was just kidding. OP- nobody thinks you should e-mail the news anchor for a date. But I’m a keep orbiting here till I get baccaaluie-d out.

@NatalieB- How terrifying, I can’t imagine living my life that way. I would have had a stroke and have had to quit. Good reminder that celebrities are just people who deserve as much privacy as anyone else. I hope the security system and gate have given that family some peace of mind.
