Yeah, I also think it’s weird that he didn’t block her. I’d block a weird date after, like, 5 strange and unwanted texts.
Over on the epic dating thread, I shared about my office basically being lockdown at the end of last year because a woman at our sister company had an unwanted ex showing up at the office. I don’t know the full story, but how horrifying. I’ve definitely done cringe-worthy stuff in my love life, but never anything that even comes close to this kind of cooky and delusional.
And I think this was acknowledged in this thread, but yes, there seems to be a double standard. This woman is scary, but I think I (and guess others would agree) that it’d seem scarier if the genders were reversed.

I had an ex that had some psycho moments too. More like stalkerish. He would show up randomly where I was, he once saw me get on a bus and chased the bus for half an hour then parked the car and followed me on foot, I had to call my dad that time. I was petrified. Being stalked is horrible.

When I was 19 and piercing ears at Claire’s in the mall, I was dating the guy at the cell phone kiosk but he got really weird. He was also an “auxiliary cop” and had a gun. When we broke up, he told me he had gotten a restraining order against himself, “just in case anything happens to you.” My dad had to come get me and walk me out to the parking lot for a few shifts.
I keep wondering how one would go about getting a restraining order against themselves. Scary situation but made me laugh thinking about that.
Well obviously he was full of shit, but I think he was trying to claim he went to the police department in NH where he was an “auxiliary cop” and told them, like, “my girlfriend broke up with me and I want you to like know that I won’t go any closer to her than the cellular kiosk is to the Claire’s, so if anything happens to her you will know it couldn’t have been me, and can you sign this statement so it’s official and shit.” I’m pretty sure he also told me he gave them his gun for safekeeping.
He was also seeing the girl at the fake hair kiosk, as well as I think one of the security guards AND his ex who had the same name as his sister but spelled unusually, and he tried to tell me that an alphanumeric page from his ex was actually from his sister.
