^I won’t be joining that. I WILL be joining a National No/Anti- Guns Association if they form that.February 17, 2018 at 6:42 pm #739754
The National Safe Guns Association would be an organization that works to promote gun safety and would raise funds to primary those who are against gun control. It would work against the NRA.February 19, 2018 at 11:52 am #739871
Our country is full of impotent ammosexuals who think their only power is their ability to inflict pain upon people. They want fifteen minutes, and this is the only quick, cowardly way to do it. I’m sure the carnage and suicide by cop is part of the fantasy for them. Our culture is sick, our country is suffering from mental health issues on a grander scale I believe in part, because of the media and social media, it’s good business to keep people fat and unhappy.
Look how the GOP has normalized white supremacy and actual Nazis. And the NRA declared war on liberals this year. They package and promote rage and pretty much, murder. It’s fucking unreal.
That being said, there are 270 million guns in civilian hands in the US. There’s no reason for it. It’s fucking insane that a 19 year old can buy an AR 15 in a few minutes, and can’t rent a car.
It makes me sick that his latest foster parents are going network to network saying they had no idea. Really? You purchased a gun cabinet for the fucker, and that was normal for you?
No one told these foster parents his history? Everyone seems to have known he was a psychopath plotting destruction. Yet, he was still allowed to take NRA funded gun courses at school. (I’m not sure that is 100% accurate, but I’ve read it a few places.)
I’m angry. So angry.February 19, 2018 at 12:41 pm #739874
@any -you are right. I’m temporarily about 7 miles from where this happened it’s on the news every night and all the flags are at half mast. The Jewish kids were buried on Friday and Sunday. The Christian kids will be buried this week. The churches and synagogues are having a lot of extra services.
A father whose daughter was killed stood up during a town hall and talked about how wonderful his daughter was and that sometimes when she was running late she might leave the house and they might not get the chance to say “I love you”. He said to the crowd “I can’t remember if I said “I Love you” to my daughter when she left that morning” and the anguish in his voice was heartbreaking.
The family that took him in tried to be good people. I don’t think they realized what they were getting into. They made some stupid stupid mistakes and they will live with that guilt for the rest of their lives.February 19, 2018 at 1:20 pm #739883
Uh… Those weren’t just stupid mistakes.
They were EPIC fails. NEWSFLASH — they certainly didn’t try very hard… Honestly, I hope those “good” people never fucking sleep again. Who allows a depressed and obviously disturbed young man to amass a collection of over ten guns? Seriously? And who is then so so damn dumb that they don’t know how many keys the guns safe has?
THE SNEADS that’s who.
God dammit — People are fucking dumb. Cruz was mentally ill and clearly disturbed, and the THE SNEADS? Eh, they were just fucking dumb as rocks, I guess. 17 lives were lost due to their abject stupidity. Again, may they NEVER sleep again.February 19, 2018 at 1:22 pm #739884
They should be held accountable. I feel no sympathy for them, and I am truly empathetic to the point it does me harm most of the time. They took legal responsibility for him. They should face charges as accomplices.
They took in a troubled 19 year old (can someone explain to me how he was a ward of the state, but 19?) AND his gun collection, even bought him a cab8net for them. If they had bothered to call his school, or ask anyone about him, or even spent time with him, on a real level, they would have known. No one can convince me that they didn’t have a hint of his past. They did. They willfully and blindly took in a troubled kid and ignored him and his red flags.February 19, 2018 at 1:28 pm #739885
I lost a close family member to a stupid kid with a handgun. The 16 year old who killed my family member didn’t just destroy one life, he destroyed many. The impact is only beginning to reverberate.
No deserves to wield that type of power.February 19, 2018 at 2:34 pm #739889
CNN reported he was supposed to inherit $800K when he turned 22, or at least he told the Snead’s that. Hmm.
IMO, they should have, at a minumum, opened a storage unit in the dad’s name that only he had access to, and put the guns in there, or no dice living in their house. Who in the hell lets a depressed troubled kid move in with 5 guns or however many he had?February 19, 2018 at 2:38 pm #739892
It’s so gross how they are parading themselves on TV. Shameless! Apparently, they love money, even more than dignity.February 19, 2018 at 2:41 pm #739893
Who were his biological parents? I haven’t seen any news about them. Just wondering what their story is…February 19, 2018 at 2:50 pm #739895
Agree with all of you – there is a lot of stupid there. I don’t know about the money. The stupidest thing they could have done was allow him to bring his guns into their house. The second stupidest thing is to allow him to hold the key to the cabinet.
Not sure if an accessory charge could be filed. I expect they will need to move away from here because the community is PISSED and vocal about it.February 19, 2018 at 2:54 pm #739897
I didn’t hear anything about bio parents. I think he and his brother were little when the Cruz’s adopted them. And Mr. Cruz died in 2004 when Nikolas would have been like 5.
