Also in AB and thirding the Aveeno recommendation. I use the positively radiant with spf 30 for daytime, and positively ageless nighttime lotion.May 1, 2018 at 10:59 am #751484CopaParticipant
^^I Think positively radiant is what I use during the day.
I also like the It Cosmetics BB Cream, but think it has a sunscreen smell. It’s not heavy and gives decent coverage, though, so I’ll put it on when I don’t need a full face of make-up but still want to even out my skin tone.May 1, 2018 at 11:59 am #751493KateKeymaster
The Absolutely Ageless Aveeno lotion has a purple cap because maybe it has some kinda natural berry complex in it? I feel like it has a very very faint maybe botanical scent, but not sunscreen.
Olay Regenerist moisturizers are also great. They really work, they have a light clean scent, and SPF without “sunscreen” feel or smell.
I totally think you can go in the drugstore and rub some on your hand to compare a few products’ scent and consistency.May 1, 2018 at 12:11 pm #751497MaterialsGirlParticipant
I LOVE LA ROCHE POSAY.
They have a fantastic serum sunscreen that is 100% worth the moneyMay 1, 2018 at 2:07 pm #751534Dear WendyKeymaster
Ooh, as a fair-skinned redhead, this is a topic close to my heart! I use La Roche Posay for my face, which is good protection and has zero oiliness or smell or anything like that. And I use a variety of other stuff for mu neck and decolletage and rest of my body, with a favorite being Alba Botanica Hawaiian Sunscreen.May 1, 2018 at 6:46 pm #751582Cleopatra_30Participant
Thank you all!
Seems La Roche and Aveeno have multiple recommendations, so I shall look into those 🙂May 1, 2018 at 7:27 pm #751584ktfranParticipant
Full disclosure. I was looking at LaRoche today when I went to the drugstore. I might have to try it out too.May 1, 2018 at 7:30 pm #751585KateKeymaster
I have used two la Roche Posay products. One was their pigment corrector (for dark spots), which I’m 95% sure made this very visible flat tan mole below my eyebrow shrink and then disappear over several months. It’s pricey, but damn. Another is their Effaclar Duo with benzoyl peroxide, which keeps my pores clear without drying my skin. This is a pretty expensive skin care line, but effective. The sunscreen should be worth a try.May 4, 2018 at 9:17 am #751882CopaParticipant
Threadjacking a bit, but in my mind this is SPF/sunscreen related: Does anyone use a self tanner they like? I used to be pretty irresponsible in the sun to get a nice tan, but nowadays I’m super into sunscreen/scared of the sun. So I don’t get as tan anymore, but I still like looking tan. I’ve tried a couple self-tanners that I like (not orange or fake looking, apply easily and evenly, moisturizing), but am curious if anyone else uses anything they’d recommend.May 4, 2018 at 9:24 am #751884anonymousseParticipant
This is my favorite.
It’s really great. You just add a few drops to your moisturizer.
For my body, I use good ‘ol jergens.May 7, 2018 at 9:38 am #752047KateGuest
I also use Jergen’s Natural Glow as a body moisturizer and love it! They fixed the scent so it’s not so Ritz-cracker, and it gives you some nice color with no orange or streaking. I don’t use a face one, but I’d kind of like to. I just use Hoola bronzer.May 7, 2018 at 9:58 am #752049ktfranParticipant
That’s really good to know about Jergen’s. I bought once quite a few years ago and didn’t like the scent. I might give it another go.
