Keymaster@Convexed, yes, my husband is still using the Olay Complete I gave him, and not complaining that it breaks him out, which means it must be awesome. I agree the texture is lighter and really nice. I have combo skin too, and the Aveeno is a little heavier than I probably want in the height of summer humidity.
I highly respect Olay products, knowing the science P&G puts behind them, and also my grandmother (probably a lot of people’s grandmas) just used the old pink Oil of Olay moisturizer and looked beautiful. I like the Regenerist line a lot.
ETA the Olay one gets 5 stars on Amazon! The Aveeno One I’m using gets 4.

GuestAs my health insurance plan year ends in a couple of days, and I always have leftover money in my HRA (only half can get rolled over), I was just looking to see what items I could buy that are eligible. Dermatological sunscreen is included! I’m going to try the La Roche-Posay serum sunscreen that @MaterialsGirl recommended.

ParticipantMissDre: Hyaluronic for the win! My water night mask has a bunch in it. Always refreshing. Vichy I’ve heard good things about too, basically I believe in the French. Avene, La Roche.. etc
I need to order more of the serum actually. Using it like it’s my job! Successfully went to the beach this past (hothot) weekend and didn’t burn or tan. My husband, on the other hand, did not listen to me and fried. I’m not pleased (especially after my melanoma… like SERIOUSLY!?? you have to be so stupid and stubborn?)

ParticipantSo after all the recommendations a couple weeks ago I picked up a La Roche SPF 60 facial lotion. Took me a while as I was himming and hawwing on the price. I found a coupon for $3 off their products, then when I went to go and pick it up I couldn’t find it! So paid full price, and proceeded to find the coupon later that night in a different pocket of my wallet (le sigh).
I decided on this particular one as it was specific to the face and is matte. No tint or anything as I was a bit worried how that would look. It does have an ever so slight sunscreen smell, but it doesn’t linger at all, and vanishes on my face after applying, so no white residue, streaks or thick feeling like most sunscreens. I apply it in the morning then put make up on, which goes on nicely with no issues.
So far so good! Thanks for all the recs 🙂

KeymasterI have to buy some new SPF moisturizer today, as I just ran out. I will look at the LRP at CVS.

Participant@Cleo, are there Shoppers in Alberta? I think I bought on a 20x points beauty day (it counts as beauty I believe) or something and it was easier to stomach paying.

Participant@hfantods there are Shoppers here, but I don’t collect optimum points :/

GuestIf you have any stockists of Asian skincare nearby check them out as well. Asian sunscreen is super light and lovely, Biore watery essence and Etude House Sunprise are two of my favourites.

MemberReviving this thread to ask about eye cream with SPF. I apply sunblock religiously but I’ve come to realize that my eyes are pretty helpless in that department, since my eye cream has no SPF and my current SPF irritates as hell.
I found this article but also wanted to ask if you guys une any.https://www.allure.com/gallery/best-eye-creams-treatments-with-spf

GuestBecause of this thread I’ve started using Aveeno’s Absolutely Ageless Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (thanks Kate!); that’s what I use all over my face during the day. At night I use Exuviance Hydrating Eye Complex (https://www.exuviance.com/product/exuviance+hydrating+eye+complex.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=Search) based on the recommendation from employees at Ulta and it’s worked really well. I used to have terrible under eye bags and I even used to buy Rodan & Fields to try to get rid of them but this product is the best one I’ve found. It’s on the middle pricier side but I think it’s worth it. I only use it once a day though, but I’m inside most of the day. (I also use a night moisturizer along with the eye cream.)

GuestI would just use your spf face cream around your eyes, over your eye cream. I’ve never found an eye cream with spf.
