Clearly there IS no bottom.
America is just about dead to me.July 16, 2019 at 7:34 pm #848257
I still can’t believe a sitting president can write the racist horseshit he did about those women and face absolutely no consequences, not one.July 16, 2019 at 7:36 pm #848258
I can’t believe he hasn’t simply met the fate he so richly deserves.July 18, 2019 at 11:58 am #848356
Unfortunately, he WILL be re-elected. The democrats just don’t have anyone strong enough to make a mass appeal and the voting base will be too fractured just like it was last time. Hopefully, I still have the right to vote and own property when he gets out of office. 🙁July 18, 2019 at 6:40 pm #848393
100%, he raped young girls. We know he went to Epstein’s parties and those parties were all about sex with teens as young as 13, 14. We know one of those girls had a lawsuit against him before the election but withdrew it because of death threats and other pressures, who knows. But the suit goes into detail about how he tied her down and raped her, and when she screamed he hit her repeatedly in the face and screamed that he could do whatever he wanted. Does anyone doubt that happened? The republicans know it did, but they truly don’t care.
I agree he could very well be re-elected but I don’t think he will, unless the Russians make it happen. He didn’t win the popular vote and hasn’t gained any support, while he’s lost some. If he wins, it will be because of Russian interference.July 18, 2019 at 6:44 pm #848395
But racism is strong, and it’s what got him elected in the first place (along with Russian meddling). A lot of you were going on about economic instability and Hillary being a bad candidate but it was racism. I said it then and I’m still saying it. Racism racism racism and fear. And Russia.July 18, 2019 at 6:45 pm #848396July 18, 2019 at 7:03 pm #848398
The Republicans have been winning recent presidential elections because of the gerrymandering that has occurred that has given them more representation than they should have. You shouldn’t be able to win an election after losing it by almost 3,000,000 votes. They know that’s how they are winning and they are trying to continue that by looking ahead and using the census to under count people that would increase democratic representation. The gerrymandering is seriously undermining democracy.July 18, 2019 at 7:19 pm #848400
Okay, yeah, racism, Russia, and gerrymandering. He’s such a piece of crap.July 18, 2019 at 7:41 pm #848401
Pandering to and building up a racist coalition. Then the Russians putting out posts that helped to enrage his followers and keep them energized. They feel like they saved America from Hillary. But none of that would have worked without the gerrymandering and no one is taking that very seriously. He only won, after losing the popular vote, because of the gerrymandering. The same with Bush.July 19, 2019 at 9:13 am #848423
He may well lose the 2020 election. That doesn’t mean he will leave. If he leaves, it doesn’t mean he will go quietly. With the hand picked SCOTUS we have, he can easily dispute the results further dividing the country.
I shudder to think how much worse it’s gonna get for women and minorities between November 2020 and January 2021 if he loses.July 19, 2019 at 3:07 pm #848468
I agree with most of the points above, but… you cannot gerrymander a presidential election. The Electoral College is built into the Constitution. It isn’t fair and it was created to preserve slavery, but it is not a gerrymander. Trying to deliberately undercount the noncitizen population is in fact a gerrymander, but not one which can impact the 2020 election. The gerrymander gave the Rs their former majority in the House of Representatives and in many state legislatures, as in my state of PA. The Republican control of the Senate also is not a gerrymander. It is not at all a fair or representative system, especially in the modern world, but it also is built into the Constitution. Any gerrymander here, and there was one over a hundred years ago, was on congressional decisions like making both North and South Dakota states, when each had puny population, because the north and south parts of the territory didn’t get along well.
