Pete is also great on camera. Something the dems have only truly had once since the days of JFK — Obama.August 22, 2019 at 11:56 am #850765
Oh Jesus, now they’re saying he joked about trading Puerto Rico for Greenland. I KNEW IT. Greenland is all white, and I was saying last week he’d love to have it instead of Puerto Rico.
The whole thing about buying it and then getting angry at the Prime Minister of Denmark could also have been a setup to make sure he didn’t go on that trip, like there are good reasons for him not to, and this could be the excuse.August 22, 2019 at 11:57 am #850766MissDParticipant
I know how Google works, thanks. Just thought I’d try and have a discussion with real people.August 22, 2019 at 12:00 pm #850767
Yeah, totally, happy to discuss opinions on the candidates.August 22, 2019 at 12:03 pm #850768BittergaymarkGuest
Kate: I honestly don’t think Trump or his handlers are THAT smart… your clever get out of greenland card scheme is simply too engenius for them to pull off.
At the point, I suspect the people of Puerto Rico would damn well welcome such a trade. The (non)united states is not what it once was. Being a Danish territory probably sounds pretty fucking great right now.August 22, 2019 at 12:10 pm #850769ronGuest
Yeah, I think it’s time to recognize that we are not seeing the brilliant or even half-way thoughtful moves of a master negotiator or manipulator of the media. The most logical explanation is that Trump’s progress into senile dementia has taken two big steps forward since he became president. We knew he was a narcissist, we knew he was a sort of feral go buy the gut guy; we knew he was a bluffer who always puffs himself up; but now we see how frightened and unable to cope he is and how far he retreats from reality under pressure. The presidency ages people, even when they try to golf, tweet, and Fox News TV their way through it. Trump has aged a lot more than 2-1/2 years mentally since he took office. His incapacity has become much more starkly visible and he and his aides can no longer even half-way disguise it.
He get’s his annual med exams from military doctors. He’s the Commander-in-Chief. He can order them to lie.August 22, 2019 at 12:24 pm #850770BittergaymarkGuest
I disagree, Ron. It’s NOT dementia. I instead sincerely believe Trump is to be borderline mentally challenged. His IQ is shockingly low. (I suspect it hovers at 71, tops.) A fact he has gleefully demonstrated to us for decades now.August 22, 2019 at 12:26 pm #850771
I think he’s both low-intelligence and deeply mentally ill. I wouldn’t rule out some kind of cognitive impediment in there as well.August 22, 2019 at 12:38 pm #850772BittergaymarkGuest
The mental illness thing could definitely be escalating!! And at an alarming rate.August 22, 2019 at 1:23 pm #850776FyodorGuest
He was a two term vice president and that’s historically been a strong position to start from. I think that there are also a lot of people spooked after 2016 who think that they need an old white guy to compete with Trump.
I am not going to vote for him in the primary, but I don’t find it shocking that he has a moderate lead.August 22, 2019 at 1:23 pm #850777FyodorGuest
Responding to earlier conversation about Biden.August 22, 2019 at 1:39 pm #850778BittergaymarkGuest
Oh, Biden’s “safe.” Very safe. Just like Hillary was supposed to be. A good old middle of the road “safe” establishment candidate. The democrats will seriously never learn. Never. Just like they will never win either.
