I do have depression, I have chronic depression, but it’s somehow controlled by my meds. Which is the reason why I’m still able to got to work, take care of my boy, and have a social life. That’s not the issue there, as I know I will always have to deal with it. Sometimes it gets better and sometimes worse. I’m just trying to understand what is missing in my life to find a purpose to it…
I know it sounds self absorbed, I’m a selfish person in a way mostly wham I feel empty.AnonymousseGuest
You need to discuss this with a therapist. We can’t tell you why you’d rather save your money than pay your bills to the point your electricity is shut off? Seriously, this is alarming. Call your doctor, call your therapist and address these issues with the professionals you are PAYING to help you.
You are behaving a little like a child/dependent woman who needs to be told what to do, when to do it and who to be. This is serious, not like, let’s play on the internet and see what I come up with- this needs more than tips, life hacks or casual advice from strangers who have nothing invested in giving you useful advice at all. Treat this as the emergency it is. If you don’t pay your bills, you could wind up in a lot of trouble, this is not like, casual, huh, wonder why I do this?
I don’t know why. But it seems like a lot serious symptom of your depression and you need to treat it that way instead of chatting with us about your inability to take control of your depression. We are not professionals.AnonymousseGuest
It’s not controlled by your meds. Your depression is out of control.KateKeymaster
Right, we have no idea what combination of mental health issues, childhood trauma, and whatever else is going on with you. If I had to guess, the electric bill thing sounds like it stems from a fear of running out of money that might be from something you witnessed your parents doing. Or you’re acting out helplessness in reaction to having to care for another human being and resenting it. I don’t know. But a mental health professional SHOULD be able to figure it out. That literally their job.JessyGuest
Well that was harsh but thank you Anonymousse.
Yes I do act like a child. My therapist told me my child part is too present. I guess that is my main issue. I’m immature and can’t deal with responsibilities. I guess I have to find out where it comes from and seriously work on it…
You say I’m loosing my time here, trying to find random hack or meaningless advices from strangers? Well maybe I just wrote on the wrong website. I’m sorry if you think this is inappropriate. It’s just me trying to find new clues to help me work on it…KateKeymaster
Sounds like you don’t want to have to be an adult. That whole dynamic makes sense why you’re into the older man. Maybe he seems stable and secure and like he could care for you.AnonymousseGuest
No, I am saying these are issues the internet cannot help you with. You say you’re seeing a therapist and are in meds, so actually go speak to the professionals you are paying to help you figure this shit out.
We can’t help you. You’re paying them to help you.AnonymousseGuest
Looking for clues on this site into your issues?
Go speak to the therapist who,is paid to know these things about you. We literally do not know you at all and are not licensed mental health professionals. If you go on other sites, there are not therapists there to help you, either.
You need, real actual in person help or at least via zoom.
Yeah, I stand by the fact that tips and life hacks are not what you need.AnonymousseGuest
Like you’re wasting time, just call your drs and leave a message that you need an appointment ASAP. Why’re you wasting time, twisting my words trying to argue with me about this? Go actually take action in your life.JessyGuest
“You need, real actual in person help or at least via zoom.”
My therapist isn’t available by zoom or for emergency calls. I live in Switzerland and it seems like we don’t have the same support here. It’s only by appointment and no calls, no texts or anything outside sessions in person (twice a month in my case)
I have been looking for other therapists on the web today and found a website providing online therapy, messaging anytime and video sessions with certified therapists. It’s in the USA. But that might suit better for me than the one I have now.
See, you say I’m loosing my time, but in fact I’m not as I know that speaking with people helps me think different and no one ever told me about those online therapists yet… so thank you anonymousse for that.
Take action you say? This how I actually do it by trying to figure out why I’m stuck. You went through depression, you should know that it’s not that easy…JessyGuest
“We can’t help you. You’re paying them to help you.”
If you can’t help me it’s ok. Just leave that conversation. I’m not looking for a therapist here, But maybe someone having the same issues will relate and give me some good advices. Who knows…AnonymousseGuest
No, it’s not easy but it’s also not as difficult to make change as you are making it seem.
I didn’t know you were in Switzerland.
You see your therapist every two weeks, but you’ve been on these forums for months with the same issues. If you see your therapist, bring up these issues- the schizophrenic weeks as you describe them (you should use a different term, as that one is problematic) the inability to pay your bills or basic things to take care of yourself and your mental health needs.
Instead of your social issues…
I caution you against Internet forums because some people are even less kind than me and less helpful or even destructive.
