I am having serious food cravings since moving. In N Out and Del Taco for sure…also my fav Italian place. The Italian food around here is just awful. Luckily my family came straight from Italy so I was taught by the best so I just make my own.
What food are you so missing due to it not being available where you are? Also, have you found any good copy cat recipes. I found a good In N Out copycat burger we are going to make soon, once it warms up and we can use the grill. Looking forward to that.
I just thought it would be fun since I am being a lazy fat butt today thinking about food. Plus would love to see and share any of those great copy recipes 🙂 Always looking for new things to make since I cook every night now.April 16, 2018 at 4:56 am #749990
Two words: Trader. Joe’s.
I live in Europe so we don’t have it anywhere! I miss it so!April 16, 2018 at 8:27 am #749998
Oh yes Trader Joes. None here either. I have my friend send me a package of some essentials every few months. Also I like some of their vitamins more than other brands I have found so those are essentials.April 16, 2018 at 9:15 am #750000
I miss the all the excellent casual Mexican food from when I lived in California back in the day.April 17, 2018 at 10:29 am #750072
Currently, my mom’s cornbread. She gave me the recipe, but it never tastes the same when I make it. Also, a few years ago, I spent several months in Europe, and by month 6, I was having visions of tacos and burritos.April 17, 2018 at 10:42 am #750074
Mexican food. NYC just can’t seem to do it right – it’s always too fancy.April 17, 2018 at 11:24 am #750080
I don’t have any food cravings currently that I can’t get around here. If I ever move somewhere without good pizza, I don’t know what I’ll do. Even though I’m not currently craving them, I’ll give a shout-out to biscuits & gravy and hush puppies since I really enjoy them and you can’t find them around here.April 17, 2018 at 12:09 pm #750084
Olive tapenade. I ate it non-stop on my honeymoon in Greece nearly three years ago and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. I can’t find a grocery store that carries it (I’m in Toronto) and speciality food shops sell tiny, outrageously overpriced jars that entirely fail to live up to my memory. Same goes for the pates I try to make at home. Sighhhhh.April 18, 2018 at 1:53 pm #750184
YA if there wasn’t good pizza near me people would be hurt, children would be running past the crazy ladies house in terror. Don’t keep me away from pizza. I once had a boyfriend assume I was cheating on him because he found an empty pizza box and knew i was only alone one night. I mean, what kind of idiot thinks I cannot finish an entire pizza myself. Dinner, Late night snack, Breakfast, Post breakfast….April 18, 2018 at 3:06 pm #750194
Haha! Love it. I’m picking up pizza after work today and have been looking forward to it all day. I could also eat pizza for every meal. Just mix up the toppings and style and it totally changes it.April 19, 2018 at 8:33 am #750238
The one good thing in this town i moved to is the pizza. It’s insane. So good. Found this garden pizza with jalapeños. Mmmmm. If only they opened before dinner time I’d be ordering it for lunch. I’m craving a BBQ chicken pizza currently.April 27, 2018 at 11:04 am #751249
