ParticipantI had never heard of The Frisky until you guys mentioned here on DW. I’m not much of a blog reader. DW is the only site I read religiously, or at all. God, I’m so boring, my daily web surfing goes like this: DW, FB, weather.com, DW, DW, Chase, DW, DW, FB, DW, and then DW again, times 10. And now I read Dan Savage once every few weeks because someone here recommended it. Although lately I’ve been adding room and board, crate and barrel, and west elm into my web surfing because I’m looking for The Perfect Couch. Btw, does anyone know where I can find The Perfect Couch? I’m tired of looking.
But to answer the question, I got to DW like this: a friend recommended City Wendy, I became hooked that day, but then 2 seconds later, Wendy announced Dear Wendy and I’ve been obsessively reading DW ever since.

Participant“Us” like you and me Wendy? Suhweet! Oh, or “us” like us plus thoze other guyz who read this blog? That’s ok too I guess. But really everybody already knows all about me. So if this new thing will bring more lurkers out, I’m all for it!

ParticipantBUT I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! WENDY, COULD YOU GIVE US A LITTLE HINT? DOES IT INVOLVE HAVING A BABY AND GIVING HER THE NAME WITH THE INITIALS A.P.? THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. (I DON’T KNOW WHY I AM TYPING IN ALL CAPS EXCEPT THAT I *REALLY* CAN’T WAIT FOR YOUR EXCITING NEWS UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY.)

Participant(a) I knew JK must have been the one to start this forum – sorry, “fourum”. (b) I love Newsletter Tuesday too! (c) Today’s newsletter hit my phone at 7:02 am, when I just about to cross Monroe Street and head into work. I had to read it right away, per usual. But it’s really dangerous to read and walk at the same time – if you slow down the mass of morning officegoers will trample you and snap sassy comments like “get off your fucking phone.” So I stepped to the side and read it leisurely. I even let a whole walk signal come and go. Then, I forwarded it from my personal email to my work email so I could remember to check out the links later in the day from my work computer. There you have. That there is The Story About How Addie Pray Read Today’s DW Wewsletter. Riveting, I know!

ParticipantHEY YOU GUYZ, remember that time Wendy’s sent out a newsletter about mistakes and I was comment of the week? That was pretty sweet.

ParticipantBOOM! BOO-YAH BIATCHES! I’M IN THE NEWSLETTER – BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! I’M QUEEN OF THE WORLD – BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….. Now back to work.

ParticipantJessibel, *or* you could buy a Team Addie Pray shirt and call it a day! I’m just sayin.
Addie Pray
ParticipantI would TOTALLY buy a Team Addie Pray shirt!
P.S. Despite all my efforts, I accidentally got drunk again. At lunch. And I’m a good 1.5 hour bike ride away from my hotel. And it’s really hot and sunny. And the salmon salad I just shoved down my throat is *not* sitting well. Otherwise I’m doing really great!!
Addie Pray
ParticipantI’m drunk.
That’s not a saying, that’s just what I am. When you are American and you speak French in Montreal, they are so happy/impressed/shocked, they buy you drinks, and it’s rude to say non. I’m loving this adventure.
Ok, DWisms: Elope. (That’s more of a AP-ism, that and “I’m drunk.”)
Ps I would totally buy DW merchandise. Even DW underwear.

Participant@ landygirl, this is my liking your post!

ParticipantAll these testimonials are making me teary-eyed! Though, they also are freaking me out because it sounds like Wendy died. Wendy WILL be back. Right? Right.

ParticipantOh, and DW helped me discover ReginaRey. That’s a huge bonus to my life! (RR, here’s where you say, “oh, and DW helped me to discover Addie Pray, who brings a ray of sunshine to the world.” Um, feel free to edit that.)
