I think Aerie swimsuits are cute.

Also in need of sunglasses! Mine broke last year. I also usually buy cheaper sunglasses that say they have UV protection but probably don’t, because I lose them or they break on me. I do want to better protect my eyes.

I will say something that is nice not to cheap out on is an umbrella. I have had mine for 9 years!

I’m in a rut with office clothes. I also gained weight and the clothes I bought in March 2020 don’t fit. I do have clothes in a larger size, but it’s just a bit frustrating. In response to Kate, I usually wear dresses when I don’t feel like wearing pants that are a bit snug!

My second dose is Monday!!!! It was originally the first week of September but Canada has been stellar now that we have vaccines. I woke up at 5 am to book. I was so exited that I called my fiancé which maybe wasn’t the best but he also could rebook Monday too. He was originally able to rebook from first week of August to first week of July since he got his shot earlier but they must have released a bunch of shots.

Anyway I can’t believe we will have a two dose summer!

I’m mixing Modena and Pfizer but they say it’s ok!

My friend in London postponed her wedding from July 3 to September, sadly. I think the UK was set to fully open before but has postponed it by a month. When I heard she postponed, not going to lie, I thought of YOLOing and going. Def all depends on quarantining and how the situation is. So very tempted once I get fully vaccinated.

Yeah, that is weird and not cool re the director. I understand why you’d feel embarrassed but it’s ok.

I don’t think that’s a big deal at all! How dressed up were you — blazer and top? It’d be uncomfortable to wear real pants at home…

@cleo, saw a CTV news article that AB doesn’t have enough people with first doses for Stage 3 opening up. I mean yeah, opening up should be enough incentive for vaccines.

My parents moved up their second dose by a month. I’m optimistic I can move up my dose soon too. Come on two dose summer!

Not going to lie, I like wearing a mask.

Oh no, I hope not, Hazel! I haven’t followed the UK much but I thought you were doing well. My friend is having her wedding there (she lives there) in July and it’s exciting she’s basically having a normal wedding I think. I wish I could go. Stupid COVID.

Wow, that is amazing on MA! Ontario is currently at 5% fully vaxxed but I am hoping that will accelerate quickly.

Yes, aren’t people wearing masks because they are concerned about vaccinated people shedding the virus? About time…

Is that 70% fully vaccinated or first dose?

Omg packed Bruins game. Tonight we can have 550 fully vaccinated health care workers at the Game 7 Leafs/Habs game.

I didn’t realize BC didn’t also account for second doses. I am pretty jealous of you guys, lol, that there is an end goal. I can’t believe Calgary open for the Stampede. So far our step 3 only goes up to 70-80% first dose and 25% for both. Not sure what happens after that because even Step 3 still has restrictions.

I have always been risk averse but I wish we could enter step 1 since we have reached the 60% vaccination target. There are “other factors”. Step 1 would allow 10 people for an outdoor gathering.

Americans, when did things start opening up for you? After first dose or second dose?

It’s June of next year so we really don’t know what the Uber situation will be or if the race will continue. There’s time to figure it out. I thought I was premature in asking for a room block but these things are out of our control.

How long is the warranty, @Kate?

That is a bummer, Kate! I am almost ready to pull the trigger on buying the Dyson once it is in stock. I’ll have to try that Revlon technique.

We just found out there is a charity race on our wedding day so all of the hotels by our venue are booked right now! This race does occur every year that weekend but with COVID it was just not on our radar. We have found an available hotel in the suburbs about 15-20 min away. If you were a guest would you want a shuttle? There are taxis and Uber but those aren’t the best in the suburbs. Getting from the venue back to the hotel would be fine. We were looking forward not having to deal with logistics of transportation but I think we have to. Hard to say how many guests will want to stay the night.

Booked my first shot for next week! I am so bloody pissed at how the Ontario government has handled the third wave. May should be a good month for us in terms of vaccines arriving.
