Ale, I think date 3 or 4 is totally normal for starting to go to each other’s places, at least in my dating experience. And don’t feel pressured to do anything you’re not comfortable with when you’re over there. Maybe I’m just naive (or a confident prude? ha) but I never feel bad for not going very far with someone the first time I’m at his place if I’m not feeling ready or into it. No guy has ever been upset by that either. And I also try to keep a calm mindset going into the date – I feel like it’s on him to make sure i’m relaxed and having a good time since he’s the “host”. Less pressure/nerves for me that way, which makes it more enjoyable.

This thread has been really fun to read. I only commented once (way back on the first page!) but I’ve loved reading all the perspectives on different dating situations.
I’ve just recently started to date again after ending a 2.5 year relationship with someone who turned out to be a liar, a gaslighter and just really emotionally immature. I’ve been using Bumble for the first time and it’s been great. I have a second date this weekend with a cute and kind firefighter. He’s also 4 years younger than me, eek!
Anyways, congrats to this thread for 3 great years!

Longtime lurker here, with my first comment:) I actually went on a fantastic first date on Tuesday with this guy “B”, which was much needed after recently getting dumped by a toxic ex of 1.5 years. B is so funny and sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous. On Sunday he’s going to meet up with me and my friends at a local music festival. So, I’m cautiously excited about this one! But like you Veritek, B and I are pretty different with regard to politics so hopefully that’s not a huge deal.
