It’s 7:16 on this first Friday evening of 2017 and I’m under the covers, wearing socks, drinking a hot toddy, trying to knock out this crud that’s been building the last few days since we got back from Missouri (which was an epic commute home, involving a canceled flight, a rental car and a three-hour drive through the rain to another airport for a different flight, a delay, and 12 hours of screaming from the little girl who’s turning 18 months old tomorrow and is suddenly, 100%, unapologetically, a full-blown toddler. Twelve hours of screaming.) I got Drew tickets to see “Oh, Hello” on Broadway and the show is tomorrow, so I’m hoping I’m feeling better by then. For now: hot beverages, cozy socks, lots of blankets, and some good ol’ Netflix. Hope your new year is off to a slightly better start!
