Tomorrow is the Women’s March 2018, with marches planned in cities across the nation. Are you going to one? I’m going to the one in Manhattan, which is expected to be the largest, with around 100k registered so far. (To put that into perspective: last year 40k registered for the NYC Women’s March and over 400k showed up, so I am hoping this one will be as well-attended!) I felt so empowered after last year’s march, and after a really depressing year of Trump in office, I’m eager to feel that again.
By the way, yesterday marked seven weeks since we moved into our new home and a little over a month since I posted this sad post about the state of our place. I’ve been meaning to update that things are looking up! We were still totally scammed and we have a tenant who hasn’t paid us a penny in the three months since we closed and there have been things that have gone wrong that we’ve had to fix and take care of (although that’s expected with home ownership and not such a big deal), but overall we are in a much better space (figuratively and literally) than we were the last time I updated. We have a broker and are actively looking for a new tenant, and once that is settled, I anticipate smooth-ish sailing for the foreseeable future, knock on wood. We’re still settling in, slowly getting stuff up on the walls, acquiring some new furniture, and figuring out where to put things, but once I’m happy with how it looks, I’ll share some pictures. I’m never crazy about winter, but I have to admit that the cold weather has been a nice excuse to hibernate, nest, and get to know our new space. And take a lot of baths! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
