Hi! We’ve been in Grand Cayman all week enjoying a much-needed family vacation while the kids are on their mid-winter break from school. It’s the first time in ten years I have used my passport, and it’s nearly two years after our canceled Mexico vacation we’d all been looking forward to taking for Drew’s 50th birthday back in 2020. We’re thrilled to finally, after all this time, get to the beach—even if it’s in a different country than we originally planned. (Grand Cayman is gorgeous!) We’ve been trying not to get too sucked into the news while we’re here, but we couldn’t avoid the awful headlines and images of the past couple days. Sending prayers and good thoughts to everyone affected by this week’s events (in Ukraine, in Texas, in the world at large, which seems, from my vantage point here in paradise, both beautiful and tragic all at once).
