Last night Drew asked me what he used to talk about before there was “Breaking Bad.”
“Mostly the Yankees,” I replied.
“Oh, right,” he said. “Was there anything else?”
“No…” I said.
And so, after this Sunday’s series finale of “Breaking Bad,” our (mostly one-sided) conversations will once again revolve around Drew’s favorite sports team, with probably a few discussions about Jackson thrown in.
But enough about my exciting life. What’s new with you? And for you fellow BB fans, what are your predictions for the finale?
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:05 pm
Aggh, I can’t even think about the Breaking Bad finale. I just hope Jesse makes it out alive. I want good things for Jesse and Marie and the kids. All the others can screw themselves.
I’m planning on seeing Don Jon this weekend. Anyone else excited to see that movie? I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. So sexy and talented. Also I want to see Enough Said with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. I love her too. She was the only reason I watched Seinfeld.
Also, as a side note, the guy that I’ve been seeing isn’t into movies. He has a little ADHD and says he has trouble focusing during a movie. I’m trying not to be judgmental, but movies are such a big part of my life. I mean, who doesn’t love going to the movies?
I need to get to the bottom of this.
Oh well, even if we continue going out, I have other people I can go to the movies with. I have just never known a person to NOT enjoy going to the movies. It’s a little unsettling.
katie September 27, 2013, 4:08 pm
i want to see don jon so bad. joseph gordon levitt is like my dream boyfriend. did you know he directed and wrote that movie too apparently? my boss told me that on our flight yesterday.
if your boyfriend doesnt do well with going to movies, just find other people to go with or go alone. watching movies at home should be fine for him, though, because he can just leave, or open his computer, or whatever, right?
GatorGirl September 27, 2013, 4:12 pm
I LOVE Joseph Gordon Levitt. I can’t wait to see Don Jon.
katie September 27, 2013, 4:13 pm
how can you not, right? i mean did you see him in inception? mmmmmm
Imsostartled September 27, 2013, 4:26 pm
Oh the vests…. mmmm
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:13 pm
Haha I just laughed when you called him my boyfriend. No, it’s ok. I think there’s a lot more I have to get to the bottom of with him. The fact that he doesn’t like going to the movies is probably the least of my concerns.
But yeah, my mom and my sister are my movie soulmates so I go with them all the time.
Also, when I watch a really compelling movie I want to talk about it with the person I saw it with, and he just does not seem like that type of person.
I don’t understand people who don’t want to talk about the movie you just saw when you get out of the theater!
katie September 27, 2013, 4:16 pm
oh im totally like that too! jake rarely wants to talk about movies as well, which i cant do, so i just end up reading all of google about the movie. occasionally there will be one that hooks him enough, and thats always fun
also, he never read harry potter, so i always have to coach him along in those movies, haha
theattack September 27, 2013, 4:32 pm
Who doesn’t want to talk about the movie? That’s part of the purpose of going to the movies in the first place! I also love discussing movies to learn about people, especially when I was dating people.
ktfran September 27, 2013, 4:16 pm
Did you see him and Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync off? Watch it. HILARIOUS!
katie September 27, 2013, 4:27 pm
OH MY GOD HE CAN DANCE TOO!!!
i can just tell. he is literally perfect for me.
Nadine September 28, 2013, 2:31 am
Guys, guys, I met him one time. He is real short, tips well, and looks damn fine in a suit. And thats all I found out.
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:31 pm
It was hilarious. And honestly, Joseph Gordon-Levitt just oozes talent. I know it sounds strange, but lip syncing as well as he did is actually really hard!
iwannatalktosampson September 27, 2013, 4:16 pm
Me. I hate going to the movies. If they start at 5p.m. or later I will fall asleep. I don’t like watching tv or movies in the dark, and I would feel rude to ask that the movie theater accommodate me. I can’t eat food in the dark, and what is the point of going to a movie in the theaters if you can’t eat popcorn and m&m’s in the same bite? So pretty much me. I hate the movie theater.
bethany September 27, 2013, 4:25 pm
I’m glad you said this, I was starting to feel like a freak! I’m not a movie person either. They’re way too expensive, and I hate when people talk/kick my seat.
katie September 27, 2013, 4:29 pm
i guess now that i think about it, im objectively not a movie person either. and for your reasons too, i just want to be at my house and hang out with my cats if im going to watch a movie.
i like movies, i dont like *going* to the movies.
lets_be_honest September 27, 2013, 4:38 pm
Plus you can’t smoke in the theater! 😉
iwannatalktosampson September 27, 2013, 4:43 pm
Your smoking is borderline suicidal. Try therapy.
lets_be_honest September 27, 2013, 5:00 pm
You’re the best, really!
iwannatalktosampson September 27, 2013, 5:12 pm
Haha
CatsMeow September 28, 2013, 1:07 am
LBH, I am smoking RIGHT NOW.
CatsMeow September 28, 2013, 1:07 am
I couldn’t even tell you the last time I watched a movie in a theater. Or at home, for that matter. I think I have attention span issues – I can’t watch something longer than an hour. And it helps when I already know the characters and basic plot beforehand (like in TV series that I’m already involved in), so I don’t have to think too hard. God, I’m so lazy that I can’t even watch movies. That’s bad, right?
Classic September 28, 2013, 1:12 am
At home, if I need to pee, I can pause the movie.
Red_Lady September 28, 2013, 2:38 am
Yeah, if I go to the theater I can’t get a drink ‘cuz I’m afraid I might have to pee and miss some of it. Plus, that shits expensive!! There are very few movies I’ll go to the theater for anymore.
GatorGirl September 30, 2013, 8:31 am
I’m not really a movie theater person either. We go maybe twice a year. It’s just too expensive.
Fabelle September 27, 2013, 4:22 pm
Ooh, I also dislike going to the movies. My boyfriend like hates me, because in the over-3-years we’ve been together, he has barely seen any movies. haha
Fabelle September 27, 2013, 4:24 pm
As for the why, I dunno, it is partially an attention thing & partially a “Why am I going out to sit in a theater with strangers for $12 a ticket in uncomfortable seats?” I would rather watch at home lying down under a blanket cuddling (but even at home, I tend to choose TV shows over movies. My friends all know I “hate movies” so they won’t ask me to watch a movie at their house, even)
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:25 pm
I had no idea there were so many of you out there! I probably go to the movies once every week or two. I know that’s pretty excessive, but I thought going to the movies was a fairly innocuous activity that everyone enjoyed. Obviously I am being proven wrong.
Imsostartled September 27, 2013, 4:30 pm
I used to love going to the movies. Now I’m all meh about it unless there is one that really catches my interest and since Harry Potter is finished… meh. There is this one fancy theater that has leather reclining seats and waiters and you can drink wine. That is basically the only one I’ll go to any more. I’m getting so old.
Fabelle September 27, 2013, 4:31 pm
Haha I mean, you aren’t wrong for thinking that! I tend to feel like a weirdo about this 🙂 But oh man, if my S/O wanted to go to a movie every week, I’d tell them to find a different movie buddy immediately, because I couldn’t even play along with that.
My family tends to “make” me go; like, we’ll all go for somebody’s birthday & then go out to eat. So I do go then, or if my boyfriend REALLY wants to see something (i.e. Evil Dead… I have not forgiven him for that…) but one time things were arranged so I had to go to the movies TWO DAYS IN A ROW. I was so upset.
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:35 pm
Yeah, I would never make a significant other go with me. It just that other guys I have dated have been really into movies, too. I mean, most people I know are. I though “being into movies” was a totally generic, American thing that everyone enjoyed.
But, yes, I go to the movies by myself sometimes and with people that are equally interested in seeing the movies I want to see.
It’s no fun dragging someone to see a movie they don’t want to see.
theattack September 27, 2013, 4:34 pm
Oh wow. I mean, I like going to the movies well enough, but I can’t afford to do it that much. We go maybe twice a year usually?
lets_be_honest September 27, 2013, 4:37 pm
I’m not a fan of going to the movies. Aside from seeing Les Mis, I hadn’t seen a movie in the theaters since Legally Blonde 1. Haha. Well, an adult movie that is. Lil likes going to the movies.
Addie Pray September 27, 2013, 8:15 pm
I love going to the movies! I just saw Don Jon, this afternoon. It was cute! I was entertained.
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:08 pm
Also, not be a jerk, but Drew won’t be able to talk about the Yankees this fall because they didn’t make it to the playoffs this year for the first time in — forever. Smiles the Red Sox fan.
Christy September 27, 2013, 4:10 pm
HAH glad we both got a dig in at the Yankees.
veritek33 September 27, 2013, 5:24 pm
GO SOX!!
Lyra September 27, 2013, 6:13 pm
My Twins are horrible this year, but whenever the Yankees do badly I smile. They’ve slashed my playoff dreams waaaaay too many times. Damn Yankees.
beelzebarb September 27, 2013, 9:34 pm
I’m a die hard Rays fan (yes, we do exist), so of course I like knocking the Yanks out of the playoffs. However, I feel like my Rays are going to pull a 2011 BoSox and kick me in the teeth. Hard. Ugh 🙁
katie September 27, 2013, 4:09 pm
my boss is soooo into breaking bad. and he keeps saying he will bring me the seasons so i can watch it too, but he never does. sigh. whatever.
i did see one episode once and it did seem really good.
JK September 27, 2013, 4:22 pm
Do you have netflix? seasons 1- halfway through season 5 are on there.
katie September 27, 2013, 4:30 pm
i dont have netflix…. i know, i know, im like the last person on earth not to have it, its cool… lol
JK September 27, 2013, 4:31 pm
It is probably one of the best investments we ever made hahaha, and only 8 dollars a month, I def. recommend it!!!
theattack September 27, 2013, 4:35 pm
So worth it, Katie. Seriously the best way to spend $8 a month. IMO, you don’t even need cable if you have Netflix.
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:29 pm
I have no idea how you can watch one episode of Breaking Bad and then stop.
Christy September 27, 2013, 4:09 pm
I definitely thought you meant baseball when you said BB fans. Because I doubt Drew will do much talking about the Yankees, seeing as they’re not in the postseason. Neither are my Orioles.
I’m chopping all my hair off tomorrow! I’m getting a pixie cut. I’ll post something on facebook for all y’all who know me on there.
JK September 27, 2013, 4:33 pm
Since I´ve seen your pic on here I picture you with a bob like the cat has. You´re brave getting a pixie cut! Have you done it before? I would love to do something brave with my hair, but I always chicken out.
Christy September 27, 2013, 8:00 pm
Nope, it took me several tries to get freaking bangs – I’d get too scared for those. But I’m just done.
kerrycontrary September 27, 2013, 4:50 pm
OH MY GOD! Can’t wait to see it. Can I come knock on your door and see it?

LOL I’m at gf’s, and we have a family party tomorrow. We might be back tomorrow, though. I’ll let you know.

I’m sad because it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL out this weekend, and I have to work all weekend. Sigh. On the plus side, I got a job offer this week. I have no idea if I’ll take it though.
JK September 27, 2013, 4:19 pm
I´m a bit behind on BB (just finished watching the last show of the 1st half of season 5) and I can´t wait to finish watching it! Season 5 was so much better than season 4, which I fell asleep during most of the episodes of. Courtesy of Netflix Arturo and I are watching several shows now though, so something will surely fill the gap!
Also, since I never ended up replying to LBH who asked: the house is going pretty well, they´re doing the walls of the top floor this week, and we´re busy choosing flooring, doors, windows, etc. And of course spending a loooooooot of money. But I can´t WAIT to move, and we are all the same. Except for 2 y.o, who doesn´t understand anything yet. I don´t think.
JK September 27, 2013, 4:25 pm
Ooh and OT: does anyone else think Kaley Cuoco is crazy for getting engaged after 3 months? I mean 3.5 months ago she was nuts over SUperman guy, now she´s engaged to another guy?
jlyfsh September 27, 2013, 4:27 pm
they’ve got the special love though (but yes she’s crazy)
TECH September 27, 2013, 4:33 pm

jlyfsh September 27, 2013, 5:39 pm
haha touche! 😉
katie September 27, 2013, 4:31 pm

I’ve become addicted to a lot of Canadian tv shows courtesy of Netflix. The most recent was Bomb Girls. I love anything WWII.
JK September 27, 2013, 4:28 pm
I don´t know if we have canadian TV on netflix here… lots of US shows, and some BBC ones. Like Sherlock, which was awesome. I´ll look for Bomb Girls!
Addie Pray September 27, 2013, 8:14 pm

YES! Definitely watch it!
Fabelle September 27, 2013, 4:20 pm
I saw another praying mantis at work! This time I took a picture.
Also, my weekend consists of a wedding. Well, the wedding is tonight (At 6 pm. I will have no time to get ready) & then I don’t know what I’m doing the rest of the weekend.
bethany September 27, 2013, 4:23 pm
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one with a less than chatty husband!!
He like BB, too.

Yeh…our conversations are like 90 percent me talking. I don’t know how he isn’t sick of me yet.
Christy September 28, 2013, 8:46 am
Gf probably talks 75% of the time. It’s mostly reassuring, honestly, that I don’t have to worry about carrying the conversation. We used to have an issue when we disagreed on topics (she’d kind of steamroll) but we figured that out, so I tend to talk more when we disagree. But I’m def not sick of her.
honeybeenicki September 27, 2013, 4:24 pm
My husband and I didn’t start watching Breaking Bad until last season and we had to catch up really fast before the final season started. I’m thinking of getting him the DVDs for Christmas (think the final season will be out before then?) because we missed some episodes and some only recorded part of the episodes, but we got mostly caught up.
This weekend we are doing the best thing ever… we are starting our Halloween decorations! I usually wait until Oct 1st because I think people who have decorations up months and months in advance are crazies, but we have the kids this weekend and we will have decent-ish weather, so we want to at least put up our graveyard. We go ALL OUT for Halloween. Honestly, it’s the only holiday we do that for. We have something like 20 rubbermaid containers full of decorations plus a bunch of stuff that won’t fit in those (like my 7 foot winged reaper). I think we have like 1 container for Christmas. Maybe half of one. Some people say “oh yeah, I like Halloween too” and then they see my pictures and think I’m a crazy person… which I am.
There’s a bunch of movies out that I want to see, but we just don’t seem to have a lot of time right now. We’ve been waiting until they hit the cheap seats in our area and go for those (can’t beat a $3 movie ticket).
jlyfsh September 27, 2013, 4:25 pm
My sister is coming to town and we’re doing craft festival, fishing, walking on the beach, and a few happy hours. And I’m making pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. It’s actually kind of ‘cold’ here, which means I think the high was only like 72 today. Definitely time to break out the scarfs! And we’ll be bundling up when we go fishing!
theattack September 27, 2013, 4:30 pm
I’m doing the rudest thing ever tomorrow and skipping a wedding I RSVP’d yes to. Even worse, it’s P’s boss’s daughter’s wedding. I really need to go back to my hometown to visit my grandfather and to relieve my mom again. She’s on her second week of not sleeping, other than last weekend when I watched him one night for her. He’s doing a little better physically (still in critical condition), but he’s kind of giving up hope, so I need to go see him. My parents now have compassion fatigue and can’t encourage him at this point, so I’m skipping the wedding to go try to lift his spirits and relieve my mom so she can rest. We had to cancel our fall party for next weekend and our canoe trip for last weekend too, which was a real bummer but is kind of the least of my concerns right now.
Other than that, we just started watching X-files, and I’m in love!
Fabelle September 27, 2013, 4:35 pm
Aw, I think that’s a totally absolvable reason to skip the wedding.
Also, just started watching the series? Like, for the first time ever? I am so excited for you, haha
theattack September 27, 2013, 4:39 pm
Yes, for the first time ever! I wasn’t allowed to watch it growing up when it came on. Now I feel so rebellious and free. haha
Also the only thing I can think of now is “…And we can do it doggy-style so we can both watch X-files.” It’s amazing so far though.
kerrycontrary September 27, 2013, 4:52 pm
Totally a legit reason, but maybe give them a call to let them know? Or I’m sure P already let them know. My one friend was upset that someone didn’t show up to her wedding just because they had to set a place for her. She was fine about the food already being paid for, but she kept saying “but we didn’t need to set a place for her!”
lets_be_honest September 27, 2013, 4:55 pm
I REALLY thought you were replying to TA’s comment about doggy-style watching X files and thought you were saying she should get the OK from her parents since they used to not let her watch it. HA!

You and me baby ain’t nothin’ but mammals, so let’s do it like they do on the Discovery Channel.
iwannatalktosampson September 27, 2013, 6:17 pm
Oh god. So many flashbacks.
Anyway no I would absolutely not judge you for that. Frankly people are really busy, and if you can get off and get in some me time (watching tv show you like), while hanging out with your spouse, why not?
lets_be_honest September 27, 2013, 5:26 pm
Dude, I would not be judging at all. I thought you were serious and that it was pretty smart!
theattack September 27, 2013, 5:35 pm
haha, Well if you thought it was smart then yes, I totally do that.
theattack September 27, 2013, 5:08 pm
Oh yeah, he definitely let them know. I just feel bad for the food. We had over $1,000 of food wasted from people who didn’t bother to show up, and I don’t want to do that to someone else. Priorities though.
bethany September 27, 2013, 4:52 pm
Did you at least tell them that you had a family emergency and can’t make it?
theattack September 27, 2013, 5:09 pm
Yeah, P did. His boss doesn’t mind at all either. I don’t think he wants to go to the wedding himself, so he doesn’t care. haha And I don’t give a shit what his wife thinks because I hate her anyway. It’ll be fine though.
GatorGirl September 30, 2013, 8:34 am
TA, that is like the most legit reason ever to skip a wedding. Please do not feel bad. I hope you where able to help them both!

My husband, some friends and I are doing a scavenger hunt at Disneyland called MouseAdventures. It’s really hard-core and people are soooo serious about it. Time to knock some kids over at Dland! Jk! Kind-of.. they should really not get in the way of a lady walking fast with her face in her clipboard! 😛
lets_be_honest September 27, 2013, 4:43 pm
That sounds really cool! Disney is so fun, can’t imagine mixing a scavenger hunt in! Actually, as I typed this I realized, when you go to Epcot, you can get a “passport” and it comes with a little scavenger hunt thing actually. Have fun!
mylaray September 27, 2013, 4:40 pm
I’m going to the Braves game tonight! I’m glad they’ve been doing better this year because the sport teams here generally suck. It’s finally getting a little cool, but still t shirt and sandals weather and I just love being outside and drinking beer.
Tomorrow, my fiancé and I are taking a friend’s 3 year-old daughter apple picking, on hayrides, and doing the whole farm thing. Our friend is a single dad and he needs a day off, so it should be fun and hopefully not too many tantrums.
SixtyFour September 27, 2013, 4:53 pm

I’m so excited for the weekend! Boyfriend and I are going to visit his grandfather on the eastern shore of Maryland (which I’ve never been to! and is supposedly really cute). Then we’re going to try out a church in the DC area for the first time. I hope I like it. Then a friend’s birthday party and football watching. Only 30 more mins to go until I’m free…
Jenny September 27, 2013, 5:01 pm
I don’t know what I’m going to do when Breaking Bad is over! I’m going to have to find another show to obsess over. I don’t know what’s going to happen; I don’t know what I want to happen. I just trust them to end it well. Unlike Dexter…that shit got so bad.
This weekend I’ll be spending lots of family time! On Sunday my son turns 18 months old, and my best friend is coming over and bringing cupcakes to celebrate (which is really just an excuse to eat cupcakes). Then we’ll put him to bed and drink wine and watch Breaking Bad and forget about having to work Monday morning. 🙂
starpattern September 27, 2013, 5:06 pm
Uuuurgh is it awful if I say I’m glad Breaking Bad is almost over? At this point, I hate all the characters… I’m only watching because I want to know how it ends. Ha.

But you can’t hate Marie or the kids, right? And Saul; who hates Saul?
JK September 27, 2013, 5:20 pm
Saul is awesome. I can´t wait for the spin-off to start.
And I love Jesse. I haven´t seen the last episodes yet, please don´t tell me he turns into an asshole. 🙁

Jesse could probably do the worst things imaginable and I would still love him/I love Aaron Paul and wish I was married to him.
JK September 27, 2013, 5:27 pm
Apparently Aaron Paul is a really nice guy, as well, ike he goes out to say hi to the people on the tour busses that go by his house and stuff.

ha, that is exactly what my director said about it! you arent alone! or… your my director. haha
TECH September 27, 2013, 5:28 pm
I read a really thoughtful interview with Bryan Cranston recently, where he talked about his relationship with his wife and his family. Apparently he had a really messed up childhood, which I never knew about. And then he went on to talk about how his love for his wife is completely conditional. Example “If you kill someone, I don’t love you anymore.”
Anyway, I wish I could find the interview again because it was really great. I think the truth is that love between two people, even when they’re married, is completely conditional. Not enough people say that.
HmC September 27, 2013, 5:35 pm
I love Bryan Cranston! He gives great interviews, and he’s one of my favorite occasional guests on a podcast I listen to regularly. I think it’s because he didn’t become famous until the cement had dried on his personality. Same with Steve Carell.
JK September 27, 2013, 5:50 pm
It really is true (for me at least) I mean Arturo knows damn well that there are things I will NEVER put up with-cheating, substance abuse, criminal activity, abuse, to name a few. And Bryan Cranston is awesome, but it´s a bit creepy because he is IDENTICAL to my father, esp on BB (physically, that is haha)
Christy September 28, 2013, 8:52 am
I am a research champion.
As someone who’s never paid attention to Breaking Bad, I just learned that the star of Breaking Bad was the dad in Malcolm in the MIddle! I’ll crawl back under my rock now.
Addie Pray September 27, 2013, 8:10 pm
So, is Breaking Bad a show I need to start watching?
Jenny September 27, 2013, 9:37 pm
Yup! It’s great. If you plan on watching it, I’d avoid the internet for a few days, since the series finale is on Sunday. Hard to avoid spoilers!
call-me-hobo September 28, 2013, 11:26 am
OMG, Addie
Don’t get into BB. Don’t do it. I did- and when I watched the Ozymandias, I was literally sobbing. Deep heaving breaths, the whole lot. I mean, it’s amazing television, but if you have a high empathy meter, like me, it’s a really intense show.
So excitedscaredworried for the finale!
JK September 28, 2013, 9:19 am
Awesome Christy thanks!
Also I read the Aaron Paul interview on there as well, and the comments and there was a spoiler (for me, since I havenpt seen the final eight yet). Crap.

I don’t comment often but wanted to to say I’m so excited for Breaking Bad!
Copa September 28, 2013, 4:04 pm
This morning I found out that my mom’s friend’s husband has my resume in his hands and wants to meet me to talk about career opportunities. He is an attorney who is VERY well-connected within an organization I’ve been interested in working at for awhile because he’s, like, chairman of ALL THE COMMITTEES. He and his wife are apparently pretty tight with the woman who oversees the division I am interested in. I know people these days get jobs based on who they know, not what they know, so I’m excited that sometime this week, I will get network with someone who could probably get my resume in all the right hands.

I had two DW dreams this weekend— the one involved Bethany & KKZ picking me up from work for some reason? And the other one involved WAPS posting a bunch of porn in the comments. It was relevant to the conversation, but ~I~ was actually IN SOME OF IT?? And some people (theattack was one, I remember) were commenting to her on my behalf, like “you shouldn’t post porn, what if there’s someone in the pics that we know?” Because I guess you guys were trying to be slick, & not be like “THAT’S FABELLE, omgz”
Sooooo weird, haha

DW has taken over your subconscious! Mine, too. I had a dream that I was in law school and Wendy was in my class. At the end we got our rankings and I was ranked 11th out of 150 or so, and Wendy was ranked 1st! When I found out, and sought her out to tell her about all her opportunities, like summer associate positions in Big Law, that were open to her considering her stellar ranking. Weird.

I’m honored to have been in your dream! I think we were picking you up to take you to the Philly Meet Up on Thursday!!

Man, why is it so hard to make friends? I tried to be friends with some people from my first kickball team but they didn’t really seem interested in being friends with me. My new kickball team might have some potential, but I’m not sure. I could be friends with the girls I work with at White House Black Market, which I just started, but I don’t know how long that will take. I think I’ll try some meetup groups. I really wish I was part of a group again.

It just makes me think like – am I weird? Boring? Why do these people not like me?? I know it’s stupid and we just don’t really ‘click.’ But still.

It seems to be hard to meet new people in your 20’s. Just because you didn’t click with your first kickball team doesn’t mean you won’t click with other people in different groups. I think meet up groups sound like a great idea! Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there — it’s always good to make new friends. Sometimes you’ll click with a group instantly, other times it may take a while.

Yeah, you’re right. I will keep trying! I just wanted to vent to people who understand how I feel. I also feel like it’s harder for me to connect to people just because I’m not really up to date on what’s happening these days in music and stuff. Like everybody on my FB was talking about Imagine Dragons the other night (they did a show in Houston) and I was like who? But it will happen. I’ve made friends before…..I know I can do it again.
WAPS September 29, 2013, 11:58 pm
It’s definitely not you! I’ve noticed this too, at various points in my life, and I thought it was because I was weird or something. The more I think about it, though, the more I think it has to do with how many relationships people have time for in their lives. At this particular point, between work, significant other, and friendships I’m trying to maintain, I don’t have the time to really cultivate and nurture new close friendships. That being said, when I (rarely) meet someone I really click with, they just seem to effortlessly integrate into the group of friends I had from school. I really admire that you are out trying new things and putting yourself out there – that takes a lot of moxie (heh), and it will pay off!

My weekend was freaking awesome until about 7pm Sunday. The Eagles lost ridiculously bad…I was so pumped since the game was being broadcast locally here in FL, I could stay home, we made wings…it was going to be awesome. Then we started loosing miserably and Fox switched the game they where showing! I’ve never ever seen that done, and I was pissed. I didn’t even eat any of the wings! Blah.
