“Wendy’s Weekly Picks,” is a feature in which I highlight stuff I like or recommend in the worlds of fashion, gift ideas, home decor, makeup, websites, entertainment, and recipes. Of course, much of the stuff I link to will be affiliate products, which means I’ll receive a commission on any click-throughs or purchases you make through the affiliate links. As always, I appreciate your support! Here are my favorite finds this week:
I discovered these crackers over the holidays and there are my now my favorite, and my go-to when we have friends over and I need a simple spread to offer. SO good (and even better than the fancy crackers at the gourmet shop that cost four times as much).
I’m not sure if I should call this the winter that I gave up or gave in or simply got wise, but I have pretty much ditched most clothing in favor of sweatshirts, which I wear around the clock, unless I have, like, a nice dinner to go to or am meeting friends out, which happens at the most two or three times a month, so that leaves a lot of hours that I am wearing a sweatshirt. There’s this one that started it all, which I wear all weekend long every weekend like a dork (it is so soft and comfortable!). And then there’s the one that I got right before Christmas that says “Someone at the North Pole Loves Me” that is so wonderful, I am still wearing it — and getting weird looks — a month after Christmas. And then this one, which, I’ll be honest, isn’t the most flattering on someone with big boobs (although Drew disagrees, so who knows), but it’s super warm and great for wearing around the house on bitter cold days. And then this ridiculously expensive one that I got on sale and wear when I want to feel fancy, because that is the kind of person I have become. The joy of sweatshirts!
As I mentioned, a few days a week I actually wear something else besides a sweatshirt, and this shirt is one of those things. I love the color (I have the purple one, but the others look lovely too and if my size were still available, I’d be debating which additional one to get), the way it hangs, and how the buttons don’t threaten to pop over my triple Ds. (Seriously, if you have big boobs, this is a really great button-down to try. No gapping!) And it’s on sale for under $30 – score!
We’ve been looking for some artwork to hang over our sofa and discovered this site, Artsy, in the process, which has been really fun to peruse. It’s kind of like etsy, but just for artwork. Speaking of etsy, I’ve also been looking for artwork there, too, and am in love with these small encaustic paintings. They’re so unique and colorful!
