Drew got me this heating pad for my birthday a couple weeks ago because I am old now and have aches and pains and love curling up with a heating pad. This thing is like the Rolls Royce of heating pads and I cannot wait for chilly autumn nights with the windows open and my heating pad cranking. It has infrared stones in it that emit negative ions and I don’t even know what all that means but it sure feels good!
I bought this shirt the other day when it was on sale and it’s my new favorite thing in my wardrobe. Sadly, it’s not currently on sale but keep your eye on it and it may be soon (or just do what I never do and actually pay full price)!
I’ve been following Busy Phillips on Instagram for a few months and like her (as do, I imagine, her million plus followers). She has a new late night talk show starting soon, and in a few weeks her memoir This Will Only Hurt a Little hits book shelves. Early reviews are favorable, and I hold a soft spot for people who use their platforms to get school supplies and books to teachers and students in under-served schools like she’s currently doing.
What fall list is complete with some boots? I saw these the other day and need to hunt them down in my size.

Husband and I were JUST minutes ago texting about fall. It has been rainy since I got back to IL but today is hot (90 plus) and muggy and windy. EWWW!! Tomorrow should be low 60’s! I am so excited! He works half days on Fridays so we tend to use them for some alone time hanging out in bed…and frankly after all the travel last weekend and getting back into the swing thing week, I suspect that will be most of our weekend. I am so excited it cooling down.
I need boots for snow, somehow almost all my boots are suede. I also need some long sleeve tops. I get too hot wearing sweaters but living in CA I don’t have many long sleeve. I went onto Nordstrom and put a few in my bag so I will hit purchase once I do a bit more sleuthing through the boot section.
I also need to walk to the coffee place by my house, mainly because it is called The Whistle Stop like from Fried Green Tomatoes! Somehow I still haven’t been there but I think this cool weekend we may venture over for a hot chocolate or a latte!

I’m enjoying the last of the warm weather. I’m looking forward to brisk walks, on what I hope will be cooler but still nice weather and the smell of dry fallen leaves. I’ll enjoy seeing people put out their mum’s and visiting a pumpkin farm. I get into cider season. I like making soups when it gets a little cooler, out.

As of today it is 49 with highs in the low 60s going forward. Loving it.
