Lancome High Definition Mascara
Bought this at Sephora a few weeks ago after I got tired of my drugstore mascara continually clumping. At $27, the Lancome High Definition mascara isn’t cheap, but I have LOVED the way it has lengthened and defined my lashes, with zero clumping. This is the one makeup item I wouldn’t leave home without putting on. Even if I’m just going out for a jog or to grab bread at the bodega on the corner. And buy “bread,” I mean money from the ATM because I am a 1960s boho gangsta.

Over the holidays, we stayed at my parents’ place for a few days and I loved the sheets we slept on in their guest room. Our own sheets back home were wearing out and we needed a new set, so when I got back I ordered from JC Penneys, where my mom said hers were from. I mistakenly ordered a different brand than what she has (hers are the Royal Velvet Wrinkle Guard sheets), but I like the set I got just as well. They’re super soft, thick, and feel substantial. I bought this hat for myself a few weeks ago when I got tired of the one I’d been wearing for the last couple of winters sliding off my head. I but my hats from NYC street vendors for about 10 bucks, so this was a little bit more than that but totally worth it. No more slipping off my head! Plus, the brim is fleece-lined, so it’s extra cozy. And I’ve gotten lots of compliments on the color and style.

Basically, all the Valentine’s Day cards at Urban Outfitters are pretty much awesome. And this “I Love the Shit Out of You” box is pretty good too.

Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Gelato
OMG OMG OMG. I bought this on a whim last week at the grocery store when our local ice cream shop closed for renovations because I have to have ice cream, and, holy shit, it’s a life-changer. I’ve made everyone who has come over to our place in the last few days try at least a spoonful and they all agree: it’s the bomb. Available in most stores that sell Gelato Fiasco (it is anything but a fiasco).
