“Wendy’s Weekly Picks,” is a feature in which I’ll highlight stuff I like or recommend in the worlds of fashion, gift ideas, home decor, makeup, websites, entertainment, and recipes. Spring officially kicks off this weekend (!), which means soon many of us will get to break out the sandals and flip-flops and flats and let our feet finally breathe a bit. Over the last two years, I wore the same Steve Madden flats until they practically disintegrated, which means I am due for a replacement pair. I’m thinking about these. These are super, super cute, too. And these are just . . . bizarre (and yet, very popular it seems!).
This dress is so versatile — dress it up, dress it down, wear it at the park, wear it on the town.
At 22 weeks pregnant, getting comfortable for a good night’s sleep starts getting more and more challenging. This has been a lifesaver. Can’t recommend it enough — to pregnant women and to anyone who tosses and turns a lot trying to get to sleep. Bonus: it’s currently 15% off.
The only thing I envy those of you currently planning weddings besides tasting cakes is the excuse to wear this dress.
But even though my days of shopping for a wedding dress — which I did online, never once stepping into a bridal store, so maybe I missed out on the full experience — are long over, I think shopping for a baby girl is even more fun. CASE IN POINT.
Also, West Elm is having a big sale on their bedding. I have a feeling this duvet cover would appeal to many a DWer.
Finally, on TV, Drew and I have been enjoying “Better Call Saul”(a spin-off of “Breaking Bad”) and “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (a Tina Fey production), both of which I recommend. And if you missed documentary series “The Jinx” on HBO (the 6th and final episode, which was maybe the most amazing series finales in TV history, aired Sunday), watch the repeats now!

Oh – that pillow. I LOVE it. A lot. I used to use a smaller j-shaped pillow because I’m a side sleeper and my neck tends to get sore. Once I got pregnant, my husband got me one just like that one linked above and it is amazing. The only thing I’ve run into is that I have the “closed” side facing the edge of the bed so its getting harder for me to climb over it to get out of bed in the middle of the night, but really I could fix that by turning it around. But seriously, it is awesome.

I’ve had two pairs of Steve Madden flats in my life. The first one lasted about four months, and the second one lasted about two months. I can’t believe how yours lasted two years. I didn’t use them everyday, I’ve got like 10 different pairs of flats, so I’m never buying Steve Madden flats ever again.

I had a pair of Steve Madden flats, and also sandals and both lasted me over 2 years and in both of those years I lived in Europe and did more walking than I ever have in my life, and have never had such comfortable shoes ever. I love Steve Madden shoes. I wonder how the experiences can differ so vastly.

Oh Wendy I have those EXACT same flats! (Plus the same ones in 3 other colors haha). I love them, they’re so comfy. But I do find they stretch a bit and don’t stay on my feet as well. But definitely more comfortable that other flats I own!

I’m flying on Friday and I hate flying, so I need something to distract me. Maybe this is it.
