As 2023 draws to a close, I wanted to send you all wishes for a happy, healthy, and fruitful 2024. Thank you for continuing to spend some of your free time here on this website that – I can’t believe it – will be turning 13 in just a few weeks! Thank you for your insightful and often humorous and passionate comments – both on the main page and in the forums. Thank you to the newcomers for jumping in and for the old-timers for always being welcoming.
Thank you for your patience as I re-designed the site – a process that I had put off for years and finally tackled over the summer. The result of that led to the most financially-successful period this site has ever had, helping to draw thousands of new readers to the site, which longtime readers have probably noticed in the many comments popping up on older columns and threads. (Thank you for embracing, or at least being patient, with that change in the DW culture, too!)
On a personal note, 2023 was definitely not without its challenges and heartache, but at the end of it, I feel strong, healthy, hopeful, happy, and grateful for all my blessings. I hope, even if you’re someone who hit some rough patches this year, that you found your stride at times, too, and that you are ending the year on a high note or at least with something to look forward to or feel hopeful about in 2024.
Happy New Year, everyone!
