Am I the only one dying to hear about the fetish event that @kare went to? I think we need an update! Entertain me on a slow work day!

As for your coworker, in a lot of places, that would be grounds for a lawsuit or disciplinary action depending on who he’s talking to. I work in a place where on my first day I (and everyone else who starts there) did sexual harassment training because it can be so prevalent in this environment. I’d maybe mention to him, if you feel comfortable of course, that maybe that kind of talk isn’t the best on a work lunch.And thank you Kare and Moneypenny for the costume compliments! I almost won a contest at the party I went to lol. Not as cute as the baby Wendy posted, but I pulled it off 😉 I even wore it again to my part time job last night and got lots of compliments from customers.

@Dre I had Wendy help with my profile about 3 years ago for Match.com . I haven’t had great success but I can’t say that’s because of anything Wendy caused, if anything she improved it greatly. It’s still a good profile and I do think it attracts a bit better pool of guys than it was before, I’m just disillusioned with that site right now and haven’t used it for a while.
I totally ghosted a guy last week and feel no remorse. We were supposed to have a date and right after I got off work I say a man get hit by a car and I pulled over and sat with him until the ambulance came (older guy, probably in his 70s, I think he’s gonna be okay but it was really scary and he was covered in blood from a broken nose and teeth). I was really shaken up so I called to cancel the date and the guy was really pissed about it and how last minute it was. (I just saw the guy get hit by a car and the date was still two hours away, but yeah I guess it was short notice?) So he sent me a few texts sort of harassing me about rescheduling so I just blocked him. He had zero understanding about the whole situation and I’m not gonna deal with that.

ktfran – normally I wear wedge heels and those don’t bother me for an hour or two, but when it gets to be 6-8 hours, I need something flat!

Any recommendations for flats that will go well with pant and skirt suits? New job requires me to be on my feet for several hours doing photography, sometimes on hard marble floors and I need good, quality flats that will look nice with my suits. I’ve looked at Tieks but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Any thoughts?
Hi Dre, I hope your coffee date goes well! I actually had a guy pop up unexpectedly recently too. We had texted a few times and had one phone call where he asked “are you a bitch like the other redheads I’ve dated?” Which flew up red flags and I ended the conversation and ignored his texts and calls. That was a month ago, never went on a date with him, thought he got the hint. Well, he didn’t and he called me again yesterday and I hadn’t saved the # so I answered and was like who is this. He said his name, I immediately hung up. THEN HE CALLED AGAIN. I ignored and blocked. What a weirdo.
In other news, I accepted a job offer yesterday for my quasi dream job and tomorrow night I have another date with new guy, so it’s an awesome week so far!
Mcj- The new job is OK. I took it because it paid really well. But I have a final interview for a job I really want on Monday. I’m in the top three candidates and have done three interviews and now I have to go in for a writing test. That’s the last step to get this job that I really want.
Mom is doing well. She finally took the steps to address her mental health issues and spent some time in the hospital, and that was a really good thing for her. It was a really good thing for our family. So as much as it sucked at the time it’s a good thing that it finally happened.
CrossFit prom was awesome. I won second place in the CrossFit competition and got a really good gift card. My friend the firefighter went with me and we had a great time and then went barhopping afterward!
Thanks @anonymousse! I’ve been working a political campaign so I barely had time to celebrate, but an ice cream cake was devoured in honor of birthday #32 🙂
@mcj2012 I’m here! I have a new job but it’s keeping me so busy I hardly have time to think! Plus my mom was in the hospital for a few days, I had a birthday, crossfit competition etc. life is busy!
On another note, I started dating a nice guy. He’s awesome and I don’t want to jinx it, so I’ll say no more 🙂

@ktfran – good question. Wish I had better news, but dating has taken the lowest priority right now because I was laid off/downsized/position eliminated due to budget (whatever you want to call it, I lost my job because i had the least seniority) three weeks ago tomorrow! The good news is I have severance and vacation pay that will last for a while. The other good news is I’ve been on three interviews including a second interview for a job I think I’d really like! Hoping to hear back from them soon.
I actually went on a second date with a guy the night before i got laid off and he and I have been going on dates for about three weeks. He took the lay off news in stride and actually came over and we ate a frozen pizza and watched netflix when I was too in shock to do much of anything else. We’ve been on a few other dates and he has potential but I’m just not super focused on that right now.
Unemployment has been great for working on my fitness however, as I got second place in my gym’s fitness challenge! lol and my friend the firefighter is going to crossfit prom with me this weekend as my date, and I think it’s going to be fun. He’s turned out to be a really awesome friend and support person.
So, nothing earth shattering on the dating front, just focused on getting a job right now! How’s that for an update? 🙂
@hfantods something similar happened to me about 6 years ago. New to online dating and talking to a guy who seemed cool, we had set up a date, he asked to add me on Facebook, I let him add me and then silence. There never was a date, its like he fell of the face of the earth. I unfriended.
Sounds like you just wanted to feel the situation out but now you know.
