@shakeourtree that blows. I’m sorry that happened. It’s more about him than you I’m sure.
@kare in response to your question about crossfit injuries….I don’t know! I’ve only been doing it since January and this is the first time I’ve hurt myself but I can’t blame it solely on that. I have a bad back to start with and I was just trying to do too much. I’ve had similar pain and a popping sensation happen after I grabbed a pair of pants out of the dryer. So I can’t say if working out caused this or just bad back stuff. I do know that at my particular gym they are really good about making sure you are doing the moves right or they stop you immediately so you don’t hurt yourself. I can’t speak for other gyms. I tend to go to the less popular class times so we seem to get more individual attention than the larger classes.
I hope everyone had a good weekend! I got to take my 81 year old grandpa to a baseball game in a luxury suite and you’d think he’d died and gone to heaven. It was really cool and I’m glad I got to do it 🙂
Stone- I went on a date to one of those painting places about two years ago and it was really fun even though I wasn’t that into the guy. It was fun hanging out that night and I have a painting out of it!
Not 100 percent certain on plans with the new guy but we have exchanged phone numbers and discussed a day but haven’t nailed down a plan yet. It’ll probably end up being coffee. And from the picture I’ve seen he is very cute.
Nookie it sounds like you had a wonderful time!
Stone – I’m glad you had fun with your friend! It sounds like maybe it has potential?
I unfortunately didn’t get to do anything I had planned this weekend because I hurt my back pretty badly at crossfit Saturday morning and went straight from there to the hospital urgent care. I was in a drug induced fog all weekend. So I never hung out with happy hour guy but we’ve talked about doing one of those wine and paint nights sometime soon.
I do have a date with a new guy next week. It’s a set up from mutual friends. All I know is the picture I’ve seen and that he has a good job and a dog so we’ll see what happens!
Have fun with your friends @shakeourtree and have fun with the FWB @Kare!
I’m celebrating the end of the political session tonight with friends, working a few hours tomorrow, helping happy hour guy write a wedding ceremony script over beers tomorrow night (he’s an ordained minister and has done a few of his friend’s weddings) and then a 2 year old’s birthday party and a high school graduation party on Sunday so it’ll be a busy but fun weekend!
@ktfran you’re from the midwest right? I love going to Boston too because it’s so different from here lol.
And yeah the gun thing, I was pretty much in the minority of my family NOT owning one. So now I have one and I target shoot with my cousins and my dad but I don’t hunt and it’s kept locked in my home unloaded until I can take some more safety classes. It shuts my family up and I didn’t have to buy it (christmas present.)
@kmtthat sorry to hear that! Hopefully he calms down a bit. And I hope you have fun in Peru!
@nookie have a blast in Austria! My cousin proposed to his wife there. It looks like such a beautiful country!@kare for a while my dad was big on me having a gun and I just couldn’t understand it. I never needed one before so why did I need it now? Well, I don’t, but it makes him feel better. So I have a firearm and it’s locked in my home unloaded. It’s basically useless but it makes him feel better. Until I have the time to take a proper class and learn all about it, it will stay locked up and out of use.
Would you ever consider doing something like that? Or even just lie to them and tell them you got one so they’d shut up about it?
