Pretty sure I made out in front of the restaurant I was at on Monday. I’ve also made out right at El stops. And once in a bar. Good times.
I had sex behind the bar once. The restaurant was closed, but it was kind of an odd Thanksgiving. Whoops.
Well the guy that stood me up on my brithday recently was one of my first friends when I moved to the city. We would hook up off and on in between relationships. So one year on Thanksgiving he invited me out for a drink. We ended up getting kind of drunk then went to the restaurant he owned nearby. We were behind the bar doing shots then things quickly escalated. Then we just continued bar hopping. Earlier that same year we had hooked up in the bathroom of his restaurant on Fourth of July, so I’m not sure if behind the bar is a step down or up… I haven’t had sex in public with any other guy I’ve dated, but for some reason we could not ever keep our hands off each other. Seriously. We had sex in the elevator of my building. I live on the second floor. And that is just one of the many lapses in judgment from when I hooked up with an older Albanian guy with questionable business ties.
Alright… this is my first vent about this new dude. So yes, we work together, which I usually don’t mind… BUT
He left work at three today with another coworker, M. Female. I know they are good friends and I’m absolutely not worried about anything happening there. In fact, M sort of set us up because I think she knew he really liked me. I’m just not really sure why my stomach did a flop when I saw them leave early and it’s bothering me. Thoughts?
I think when it’s early that initial twinge of jealousy is an indicator that you have feelings for someone. If it occurred in a more established relationship, I would say there’s an underlying issue. Early on though, I feel like many emotions are intensified even when it’s not totally rational. I wouldn’t worry about unless the feeling persists or they start consistently hanging out after work (as in, it cuts significantly into the time you’re spending with him).

I also think you two are correct and in that I just really, really like him. I told him Monday that after that night, I wouldn’t be able to see him until next week because of stuff I had going on then I’m leaving town… so this is definitely not cutting into our time. I’m just letting my imagination run wild… this is what I was thinking…
Oh, they’re leaving early. I wonder if M’s friend has his boat share tonight and I wonder if they got an invite.
Side note… the second time I hung out with this guy in a non-work setting was on M’s friend’s sailboat and she wasn’t even there. She invited me to their happy hour and when I arrived, she had to leave but said she got me and him and another coworker an invite. We went on the sail boat and had a blast and things progressed from there.
Since then, this guy I’m “dating” has been angling for another invite.
Hence, that’s where my mind went. Also, the sailboat guy has a lot of female friends he usually takes on the boat.
This is 100% my imagine running wild because I don’t even know if they’re going out on the boat.
