I’m not sure which guy you’re referring to? I recently-ish got ghosted. I’m talking to one guy from Tinder (by text — hard time coordinating an in-person meeting because I’m in and out of town) and one guy from Match (meeting hasn’t come up yet but since I’m in and out of town, and Match tends to move slower from my limited experience with the different dating platforms, I’m not rushing to suggest it). Both seem nice, but a lot of them do over text/e-mail. If/when these two options don’t work out, I think I need a little dating break. The last guy to ghost me left me feeling frustrated and down on dating, and I feel slight bitterness toward a friend over dating stuff — all of which is obviously not good and to me a sign that it’s a good time to take a break and focus on myself until I’m in a more positive place.

I actually have been feeling pretty down lately. But, I was talking to one of my best friends who is in the UK getting his PhD and he is actually getting married next month. And it made me happy. He had a GF for 6 years and when she broke up with him, I remember being there for him talking until 2-3 a.m. on the phone and well, he survived. We all do.

I’m playing DW catch up today. Last week, work and life was insane. I can breathe again after the three day weekend. Oh, and we bought dining room furniture from RH on Sat. And the fiance’s mom bought us rooftop furniture. How adult, finally!
Are we approaching a year a two-year anniversary for this thread?!?

I had no idea that the wedding was going to be on a farm. We didn’t really get much info about where we were going haha. So there I was in the hot Italian summer sunshine on a farm in a tulle skirt and high heels, sweating and feet aching haha. It was nice, though. Great experience.
I noticed the caption about where you were after I initially thought, “Wow, she goes all out for the farm!” Hahaha. Anyway, the pics look great and it sounds like you had a wonderful time! Thanks for indulging the creeper in me with your pictures 😉

Ale – I’ve been down lately too! You’ll get through this. Since my dad has been doing better and I have more free time I just have too much time to think. I deleted the dating apps because I’m just tired of dealing with…well….immaturity? Disrespect? I’m not sure what to call it. Got called ugly because I refused to send a picture to a guy I had just started texting with. Why was that called for? Totally unnecessary.
Mostly just feeling like a wave of depression is on it’s way and doing everything I can to slow it down or stop it. Deleted Facebook from my phone too because I just keep comparing my life to my friends that are married and having babies and it’s not healthy and just makes me feel worse. Meh. What a lame update I have for you folks today. I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
