    Therapy. Spending time with friends or family or people you love. Get into a new hobby or a class. Exercise and nourish your body with good food. Do not get on an app and look for a man. It’s sound like you need to work on your own self confidence and self worth without a bf.

    It sounds like you’re in a new city for your master’s program if I read everything correctly, right? I say embrace the newness and see this life change for all the possibilities it has to offer. Focus on school and making new friends there. Look for student organizations that interest you and join. Volunteer for causes you care about. I second therapy. Maybe six months or so after a breakup that left me fairly devastated, I got a job offer in another state and ran with it. It felt like the perfect fresh start and blank slate. I said yes to every invite that came my way (even went to a DW meetup!). I tried new hobbies, joined MeetUp groups, volunteered. Sometimes it was lonely and I’d dwell on the past, but I’d challenge myself to do things I wanted to do but had nobody to do them with alone and grew immensely as a person. I got into therapy and it is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. I’ve moved up the ranks a bit in my career. I’m really proud of myself when I look back on how far I’ve come and I wish the same for you.
