Yes well I have my first appointment on the 9th and that’s only for the pregnancy test! Oh my but I’m dying already… I can’t stand this nausea… is there anything over the counter that you guys know about that works?! I can barely stand being at work Feeling this way… i feel very nauseous and I’m vomiting almost every time after I eat something…. anything!

Eat ginger, real ginger candy or real ginger beer. Peppermint tea or even some essential oil can all help with nausea.

Eating saltines or similar crackers very slowly was my go to.

As counterintuitive as it may seem, your stomach will stay a little more settled if not empty. A full meal will set you off, but try to eat small bites of crackers (or whatever you can handle) and little sips of water quite frequently. If you really aren’t able to keep anything down, you can call the Dr’s office and let them know. They may be able to squeeze you in sooner if you’re at risk for dehydration.

You can also try taking a combo of B6 and doxylamine, aka, Unisom (yes, the sleeping pill). A lot of Drs recommend this as a first step before prescribing anti-nausea pills. It doesn’t work for everyone, of course, but might be worth a try.

I’m curious to know the outcome here and what she decided.

It’s tough decision, but you obviously made the best choice for you. I do hope you’ve got a friend or family member to be with you before and after?

@Jody – you will be alone for the procedure and for your recovery time after. Your boyfriend will be able to wait in the lobby for you. Don’t expect to feel well over the weekend. And it’s great they can get you in so quick.

Heal up emotionally and physically. It took a big told on my then relationship and totally destroyed it.

He probably won’t even wait in the lobby…. he’s probably going to leave and just go back to pick me up. But yeah I can see how it can destroy someone’s relationship…. he just doesn’t talk about it at all…. but what also bothers me is that he didn’t even offer to help me pay ???? I don’t know maybe I’m wrong for expecting him to at least offer to help but it did not happen ????

    Wow, Jody.
You should try actually talking to your partner and ask him for the money and for the support, etc instead of magically expecting people to just fall in line and do what you want.

    I don’t believe anything @Jody says anymore.
