Man ours has food, wine and beer, but no liquor!!

Obviously I’m focusing on the important aspects of the story, what they do and don’t sell at Target, hah.

I agree with what snoopy said. His schedule might work well for someone you’ve been dating for a while. But, to me holding an entire weekend and playing things by ear seems like it’s asking for too much familiarity for date three.

Below the comment box is a line that says ‘Notify me of follow-up replies via email’. Un-click that box. Done.

Back to the important things like mushroom gravy. Has anyone actually made the smitten kitchen recipe that was shared? Any tips or tricks for it?

Commenting about mashed potatoes and asking opinions on an internet comment board (one that you can ignore and unclick the ‘notify me of follow-up replies via email’) is not harassment. I’m sure if your Dad is a lawyer he would let you know that.

I love mushrooms and mushroom gravy. I sent that smitten kitchen recipe to my coworker. I need to make it now and bring it in to work!

I’ve definitely taken gently used electronics to Goodwill before here! I actually took the one and only hair dryer that I used once or twice in 10 years there. And I constantly see household electronics there!!

But, yeah the recycling center has ‘electronic days’ here and they always end up taking all kinds of things! I’ve taken an old computer, an old toaster oven, batteries, just to name a few 🙂

They won’t laugh at you Nookie! I try and always take my household electronics to either Goodwill or those recycling centers if they are just done. The assortment of things at the recycling center is always interesting!

    I cannot believe it’s been a year!

I’m sure Wendy only gets asked about how you know you found the one once a year, totally weird for her to post a column about that! (that was sarcasm)

Just as an example I’m a member of two meet up groups. One is a ‘social group’ and one is a women’s only group. The focus of the social one is festivals, bars, dinners out, movies, etc with both men and women. The women’s group is similar but we do more happy hours, wine tastings, etc. And that’s where I met my friends from book club.

My suggestion if you’re going to create your own would be to look at some examples of meet ups in other cities and what kind of activities you do. And then for my group the original hosts also created open facebook groups and post meetup events in there for people to rsvp too. There have been a larger number of people than I expected who found the group from facebook.

And I understand the small town thing. The area I live in now is bigger than where I grew up, but still not ‘big’. At home there are about 30000 people and the only real options for eating out are Applebees and the local pizza shop.
