I haven’t heard that. I feed them Sojos, which is a dried food you add water to. I switched when he had a bunch of teeth removed and needed soft food. The initial soft food, the kind you normally think of, is really high in fat so he gained weight. He loves the Sojos. It is basically dehydrated.
Before that I fed him Blue Buffalo as that was all the rage at the time although now I’ve heard opposite. I feel like what’s best changed daily. Every other day they say the food that was last touted as the best option is now bad because of whatever. I swear you can change foods hourly and still be an evil pet mom for not getting them a slab of steak at each meal.
Interesting to hear yours do that too. Ours areon low cal now and a bit less too per doctor and it took a week or two before he were begging for more food. Mine still does occasionally but he is a good hound always so no surprise.
Ya the snow just on the weekends is lovely. Here’s a day off, youre stuck inside. Grr. Luckily in our village (I actually live in what’s considered a village), they are really good about the snow removal and pre treating. Better than anywhere I’ve ever seen. So at least we can go local places. The downside being there are only a few local places, but it helps from being so pent up.
I’m going to your moms on the weekend! For some reason bacon is like double the price here. I drove by millions of pigs coming here so I don’t get it. But avocados are cheaper, although not edible. Confusing for sure.
I’ve been eating really well but currently craving this biscuits and gravy omelette at the diner by my house. I don’t even want to imagine how bad it is for you. Maybe since we will be up early Sat to take the kid to the airport I’ll indulge.
I had to giggle at the headstand in the snow thing as sad as it is but the visual. My dog lifts his leg so high when he pees hes done a full cart wheel before. Luckily she doesn’t seem in pain, just maybe like they are itchy…it seems.
Yes please have it be spring. Of course, by summer I’ll be complaining much more about the heat and bugs. SOOO many bugs here, still have scars from last year from the bites. I can’t even walk to the car, fully covered head to toe, with bug spray, without being covered head to toe in bites. It’s misery. Never again living next to a river/lake or anything that so insanely attracts mosquito.
That is really sweet that he slept next to yo on the floor. Giving me all the feels.
Oh @Kate, last night was the other dog. We think she has an ear infection because she woke up and was rubbing her ears on the floor and such for half an our. We are taking her to the vet tomorrow. These little monsters are killing me in the sleep department. On the upside taking away my kids water earlier for the past couple days, taking him out an extra time, still helped. He woke me up once but not as bad as it has been.
We aren’t comfortbele with it. Plus his friends aren’t a great crowd. We can’t control him spending time with them at school but we don’t allow him to hang with the pot smoking kids outside of that. He has stayed a night alone twice I think but he was on the phone with husband non stop. It would be the opposite of relaxing.
I don’t think he is one who would do things wrong but he is kind of the kid who would want to make friends or make them happy so more susceptible to peer pressure. He cut a cord of a very expensive microscope last year at school, because druggie friend told him to. Face palm.
He has other friends we don’t worry about but the bad influence lives closest to us. Idiot smoked pot right in front of me in front of my house. And I know one time he had him over when we didn’t know because said idiot let something slip that made it clear. Idiot being the pot smoker not my son. He’s not an idiot at all.
I wanted to do an experience thing but it’s always at the damn whim of his ex wife and if she will follow through with her visitation times. Anything around here would involve an overnight and we can’t leave him alone obviously. I’m planning on booking something this summer. But again, will she even book tickets in advance, no. Will she take the first half of the summer like she supposed to or the second or all (which we allow even though per the agreement she has half). She’s a pain in the rear.
He does. Ya I was trying to think of something pool related. I’m looking at these nice bags though right now. He needs one that holds more sticks so I might have decided on that. A bit difficult to weed through since most have Hello Kitty or flames. Haha. I think I found one that looks nice though and I can have his initials embossed.
Shopping for men has always been a struggle for me. My ex, I would buy very nice gifts he’d had asked for and later find them in his trunk never opened. I think it makes me nervous so I over think it. But, he was a dick and my husband isn’t so I shouldn’t worry.
Ya I was thinking if it continues I am taking him to the vet. Last night was the worst but it has been building up more and more. Oh and don’t worry he is snoring in my ear napping just fine. Glad he is catching up on sleep.
@Copa it’s our first wedding anniversary.
I found out recently they don’t do the return to Tiffany thing with the keychains anymore. Was kinda bummed. I still have mine. Got one for my ex when he bought his first house.
Hmmm, giving me ideas.
Ya just hoping he’s not sick or something as he is almost 12. Seems healthy and active. He seriously has to stop though. One time last night he didn’t even want to go out, just I guess wanted to go into the other room. I tried to sleep in and let husband take them out in the morning but HIS dog now only lets me take her out in the am. She won’t go with him but will bark until she gets let out. Both of them are becoming very high maintenance.
