    Congratulations @kmthat! That’s so exciting!!

My oldest daughter is getting married in June at the courthouse then having a reception at my house. Looking forward to that! And happy they chose to get married this way…more low key and saves a ton of money (we said we wouldn’t pay for a wedding but I am going to pick up some fresh flowers day of reception to decorate my house).

And living in CO, I have an AWD vehicle (crosstrek) and it’s a must in the snow. We had to pick up our daughter Friday night as her Honda accord couldn’t make it up some of the snowy hills (plus she’s inexperienced). So she parked it and we picked her up. There are a lot of hills here in the Springs and they don’t seem big or intimidating until they are covered in snow or ice.

I’m sorry this happened to you. They’ve been your friends for years and it’s really unfortunate that, at least, that guy proved otherwise. You’ve done the right thing cutting him out of your life. None of it was your fault and I hope you are able to move on.

I didn’t hear about the assault(s) at ME. We are going to a local place but a ME just went in not to far from my house and I was thinking of checking them out. Maybe not now. Oh well.

We’ve never had a couples message! Not sure how the place we are going does them but it doesn’t matter to me if it’s the same room or separate. Just looking forward to some relaxation 🙂

Glad your GI issues are clearing up some @Copa! And I don’t remember when you leave for your trip…soonish I think? Anyway, have a great trip!

Husband and I have a couples massage scheduled for next Friday. It’s been a long while since I’ve had a message and i’m looking forward to it! And this Saturday we are heading to Denver to meet up with our oldest and her fiancé to do a escape room. Ready to get out of town – even if just for a day.

Is it all cheese that messes with your stomach Copa? With my Crohns my gastro doc told me hard cheeses were easier to handle than soft cheeses (which I find to be pretty true – though I still eat pizza occasionally because pizza!).

I loved when my girls were little because they liked to play with play-dough. I would play with them because it’s so much fun! They had some of those little “shops” – like the barber where you could push play dough through the head to make hair and scissors for a hair cut. Awe – good times!

not a bad idea on the chocolate. And I’m not opposed to it. I just really had to get off the sugar – for awhile so I don’t fall back into bad habits. It’s really a lifestyle change overall. And I want to make sure it’s cemented before indulging. Though I do love to bake and I love dark chocolate so I’d like to start making my own desserts with dark chocolate eventually.

We always include candy in our stockings! This year though I did ask for it to be a small amount instead of all the candy because it gets hard to eat all of it! I think this year I’ll be asking for the dark chocolates instead of my normal favorites (butterfinger and reese’s pieces).

Thanks Copa! Trying to form better habits for myself personally too which is why I want to keep at it – with some small modifications. I’m starting to not miss dessert (basically sugar) nearly as much either. I can finish dinner and be like, I’m done instead of wondering what I can have for dessert. it’s a nice feeling!

    Congrats K!

Glad your feeling better about things Copa!

    @JD
    – I see. Didn’t realize (though I should have) about the military thing.

I am finally finished with W30!!! And I made bread Sunday to celebrate. Mostly going to keep eating clean and the only thing I’ve had that had a little sugar in it was a skinny mocha (also as a celebration – I LOVE lattes!). And I lost a few pounds so it made it worth it in the end. Just going to keep going.

Ouch – your going to move him his senior year? Fun fact: My grandparents moved my mother her senior year…and she ended up pregnant with me before HS was out!

@JD – people are nuts! I’ve posted stuff before on Craig’s list (before it was more….well what it is now) to sale some furniture and I’d get crazy requests. Once someone called to look at the furniture in person so I gave my address. I was kind of dumb and didn’t make sure to have anyone with me or let anyone know. And the guy pulls up in a large white commercial type van (you know the kind in movies that kidnappers always use?). I kind of freaked for a moment but it all worked out – he was normal.

Monday starts week 4 for me and I’m struggling to maintain. I was cranky last night – just super hungry and since dinner had to be cooked I had to wait longer. I thought I’d be feeling great but the diet isn’t helping me feel better than pre-diet. I do feel better about myself not eating sugar though And I haven’t noticed anything fitting better. I’m wondering if the medications I’m on hinder loosing weight. Or it’s my age or it’s…who knows.

Glad your doing good though Copa! And like JD said, enjoy vacation food! It’s part of what makes a vacation fun, I think at least!

Sorry to hear that JD. Hope all is ok!
