I’m in COS, an hour south of Denver and they did get hit with way more than we did. Not sure how it’s affecting the airport at this point in the day though. That would def suck to drive 6 hours to catch another flight. Hopefully all will be on schedule when he gets there so he can make it back sooner rather than later!
February 5, 2019 at 4:17 pm #829772Culture is definitely ingrained in us no matter what we try or don’t try. It’s impossible not to be! It’s in the way we were raised and a lot of it is so subtle that you (general you) may not even realize what your doing – how it’s being perpetuated. It takes being aware of all those subtle things we do to make changes. but it’s probably impossible to catch all of them. Anyway, these are my opinions. I have no data (though i’ve read a lot about it as it fascinates me and this is a general take on the cumulative things I’ve read).
February 5, 2019 at 11:30 am #829744My youngest (who is 19 now – girl) went through a stage in early teen/pre-teen years where she would lie to me about brushing her teeth. Sometimes I would go and watch to make sure but she’s lucky she has good teeth because still no cavities for her. She also hated to shower for a while. So yeah, it’s both girls and boys that do gross weird things.
Our oldest (girl) couldn’t keep her room clean but we let that slide as long as no food was involved. We let it be her space (up to a point, which about once every 3 months we’d be like time to clean it up a bit).
February 4, 2019 at 3:50 pm #829634OMG – that is so funny!! So much rice. I’m sure he won’t make that mistake again though.
February 4, 2019 at 3:39 pm #829632I’m cracking up at all the food! Teenagers are definitely strange. My daughters never really did that…the most they would do was hide the oreos or something. But then I had girls.
February 4, 2019 at 11:40 am #829606I love chips too! But I’m not the biggest doritos fan. It did feel good to have just one after no processed foods for 2 weeks. I know that shit is bad for you but man, it tastes so good! Plus my daughter was with me and since she is doing W30 too, she glared at me…mean scary eyes LOL 🙂
The only way I have regular milk now (besides when I’m doing the W30) is in lattes. I’ve read that when milk is heated up enough it does something to it (don’t remember) so that it is easier on digestive track. However, don’t know if that’s true for someone who is truly lactose intolerant vs. sensitivity.
February 4, 2019 at 11:25 am #829601@Ange – sorry your going through that!
@Copa-I don’t get acid reflux a lot so I don’t know much about it but could it be something you put in the oatmeal (unless you eat it plain)? I make mine with almond milk, some ghee, raisins and cinnamon. I still miss the brown sugar but not as much anymore!
Today is the start of week 3 for W30. I finally don’t feel so fatigued (which I was for most of the week last week). Don’t know if it was the diet or hormones or a combo. We did end up going to some friends house last night for the SB and I got to eat a burger (no bun) with mustard and pickles on it, that’s it (that’s all that was available). I did cheat and have 1 dorito chip. But I’m not starting over for one chip 🙂
February 1, 2019 at 11:40 am #828591Happy Friday!
@JD – is this something that can wait until you move to find another doctor if you decide to go that route?@Copa – I weighed myself the first day of W30 and I really wanted to weigh myself Monday (which starts week 3) but I think I’ll wait until the end. I’ve always hated the scale too so I actually rarely use it anyway. Put it away so it’s out of sight and (more) out of mind!
Enjoy your days off BGM!
No plans for the weekend for me but it is supposed to be warm tomorrow…57! So I’m thinking a nice long walk for the dogs and some airing out the house and the usual stuff. TGIF 🙂January 31, 2019 at 5:35 pm #828489Maybe you don’t want to have surgery there? It sounds like they are incompetent at best…I would be worried about the rest of the services.
January 31, 2019 at 4:56 pm #828477That sounds so much better than Disney 🙂
I’m partial to October – our anniversary is 10/10
January 31, 2019 at 3:37 pm #828448I’ve never heard of being upset about someone else getting engaged to close to someone else in the family being a thing until I started reading advice columns. It kind of blew my mind. Should you be happy for the other important people in your life? Geez
