I too love a good cry when needed. Unfortunately around that time of month, I get so emotional over EVERYTHING. I feel on the verge of tears all the time during that time. It kind of sucks actually. I hope your able to have that good cry! I like the onion suggestion from ktfran 🙂

Also I just want to say a lot of doctors suck – at least in my experience. It’s like they don’t really believe you if you don’t have something obvious like a simple cold or flu or something easy to diagnose and/or treat. I feel like they treat patients like they are making all their symptoms up. I just want to scream at them that no, I don’t want to be here seeing the doctor anymore than you want to see me. It’s expensive and time consuming and I don’t feel well or I wouldn’t be there! Anyway – I hope this doctor works out for you @JD.

I’m sorry your going through that. It’s a lot to deal with. You should take today for yourself.

@JD – why do you need a heart monitor? I must have missed the page where you explained what was going on!

I’m back at work today after surgery last Tuesday and I really didn’t pick up the computer a whole lot while I was out. I don’t like to be on my phone or computer a lot while at home. All day at work is enough for me 🙂

@alafair – I love vanilla more than chocolate so he’s not weird! Glad your gift went over well.

I would love to have a doggie meet up. We take our dogs to the dog park sometimes and talk to people there. the dogs get worn out though they stay mostly with us so we have to walk for them to get exercise (which is ok since we could use the exercise too).

We went to the Giant Pumpkin festival Saturday but got there late cause hubs had to work – it was also the last day of the farmers market and it was so so so so crowded. It was shoulder to shoulder and then people would stop to look at the vendors in the middle of the sidewalk and I just got so frustrated. Also, by the time we got there, the giant pumpkins were gone and that was the part I wanted to see. We ended up eating at a restaurant and then heading home. I expected crowds but not of that caliber.

I wish I could use something like Rover and have my dogs walked some days that no one is home until 5. But our older, bigger dog barks at everyone and can even be a little mean – even to people he knows and likes when they first arrive. It’s so frustrating. I took him to puppy classes and socialized him as a puppy so I don’t know why he thinks everyone who comes through our door is there to harm us. He’s pug/dotson and I think it’s the dotson in him but still…

I got my little dog a bandana like piece that goes on her back and ties in the front that says “I’m hear for the treats” which is so true for her. She is super food motived. Just yesterday we decided to smoke a meatloaf for company that was coming over. My husband set it on the outside table (that had a chair a little to close to the table) and came in to wash his hands, went back outside and caught her eating up the meatloaf! Sigh…cut off parts of the meatloaf and proceed to smoke it. She didn’t get sick, surprisingly.

But she does give me the evil eye anytime I put any type of clothing on her. Even a sweater if she’s cold. But she deals with it.

Oh – and thanks Kate for letting me know. Sorry your pup has so many issues! I really enjoy spoiling my pups rotten like so many of us pup moms on here 🙂

Funny story about my little dog – she’s a schnauzer terrier mix that was born in late fall and so her first year was in winter so she was never hot and never had to pant. Come summer when it started to get really hot and humid she didn’t know how to pant! She stuck her entire tongue out, out the front then out the side trying to figure this panting thing out. She has sense learned how to pant but it was kind of funny watching her trying to figure it out.

Question to @kate – do you give your dog anything for the arthritis? Our oldest dog, a pug dotson mix, is approaching 10 and I can tell he hurts sometimes (stiff after laying to long or sore if he plays to long, etc). Stairs are getting harder for him. The vet said to try Cosequin (sp?). I haven’t tried it yet but am thinking about getting some and was wondering if you’ve tried it and if it helps. He can still play fetch like none other but it really wares him out now!

@Copa – I think it’s fine to go with the lower price point! Also, I didn’t know matching PJs with dogs was a thing. I think I’m going to need some of those! Of course that would give my daughter and husband something to make fun of me about but I absolutely don’t care.

I just got back Wednesday from visiting family in Arkansas and had to chuckle at Veritek33’s comment about driving through Kansas. I live in Colorado now and every time I visit family, I have to drive through the entire state of Kansas. It sucks.

Glad to catch up on all of the postings since last week. You guys have been posting a lot or it just felt like a lot to read since I haven’t checked the site since I left last Wednesday.

My husband and I married young so we don’t have split finances. All of our accounts are joint. I take care of all the finances and try to keep him in the loop about what is going on but he doesn’t really care to know. Luckily, i’m trustworthy! 🙂
