“Do We Have to Invite Plus Ones To Our Wedding?”

“My boyfriend of eight months and I both want to spend our lives together, but there are also many things we would like to accomplish, separately, in our own lives.”
“My boyfriend and I have been together for three years, living together for 2 1/2. We have everything a married couple has — a house, the same bank accounts…”
“My boyfriend and I have been together for six months and while he has many good qualities I am afraid I have been noticing his bad ones lately…”
I’m 25 years old, and have been happily married for seven years. Yes, we were high school sweethearts, and survived four years of long distance to get where we are today. Over the weekend, I got a message from an ex on Facebook, followed by a friend request. Now this isn’t just any ex-boyfriend, he was my first boyfriend, first time having sex, and when we were very young, we got pregnant, and we placed our son for adoption. We stayed together for a short while afterward, but then he broke up with me and I was devastated. That was 12 years ago. It took me a very long time to get…
I’ve been dating my boyfriend for a year and a half now, and he’s been a really great guy up until lately. Within the last week things have become very complicated and I’m finding it difficult to tell whether or not I’m overreacting. Last summer, we were out with friends and while walking from one bar to another a friend of his offered him some marijuana and he smoked it. We had a big fight about the whole thing and I explained that drug use was kind of a deal-breaker for me due to past family issues with drugs, not to mention that I would soon be starting an internship as a…
“For the past couple of months, I have been flirting with a co-worker who was very shy at first, but after a month and a half, he asked me for my number.”
Last week I went into the doctor’s to get a chest x-ray. I was having trouble breathing and they thought it might be a clot. No clot, but they found a mass on my left lobe. They did a biopsy and a week later and discovered I have lung cancer. I’m terrified, of course, but the doctors are all very reassuring that they got it early enough. I’m scheduled to go into surgery next week to have it removed and then I’ll probably need some chemo for added measure. Thankfully, I avoided needing radiation to shrink it. My question is: would it be wrong if I didn’t tell my family? The past…
I am in my late twenties have been in a relationship with a man of similar age for almost four years. I have a daughter from a previous relationship, who has never met her biological father. This man I am/was with has raised her as his own since she was 4. I was a very independent woman, and never felt like I needed anyone other than my daughter. I have done quite well for myself since she was born and thankfully never needed help from anyone, something I truly pride myself on. When this love came along, we had been friends since childhood and grew up together, but I was hesitant to…
I am a happy, well-adjusted bisexual woman in my mid-twenties. Since I began dating in my early teens, I’ve been in a mostly steady stream of long-term, monogamous relationships with men. I’ve always been attracted to women too, but my experience with the fairer sex is limited to a few random (mostly drunken) sexual encounters — no actual dating. My amazing boyfriend of three years told me early on that he would not consider it cheating if I wanted to see women too. I recently decided to take him up on that, and with his blessing, I set up an account on a dating website. Overall, this has been a good experience….
