I’m probably overreacting I just didn’t have a good feeling after it ended .Well it was nice and we sat and had ice cream and talked and then I mentioned going to see the beagles and he was like oh yeah that would be great. So when they started to close down The shop I said so would you like to go back and meet the beagles and he said well actually made plans to meet up with a guy in Columbia at seven because I thought you were playing softball. So at the end of the day he gave me sort of an awkward hug and I said if you want to get together again let me know and then he left

Wow. That sucks. If it were me and that happened, I think I would pretty much begin the pull away process, as in change my thoughts into stop liking him. I think this dude would have to reach out to me and have a cool date (real date that lasted several hours) planned for me to consider meeting up again. I’m sorry v!

@veritek, that really sucks about that guy, who plans to meet with someone else after a date? I would move on from him.

To be fair re: having plans after the date, she was working Tuesday and Thursday nights, so she offered Wednesday. He asked wasn’t she playing softball Wednesday?, and she said not til 7 or 8. So he wouldn’t be wrong to assume the date would end by 7.

Regardless, he’s not acting like a guy who’s into it.

Who knows where it will go, but I couldn’t stop laughing at the New DW euphemism, “Go back and meet the Beagles”.

Mrmid in his defense I did say I MIGHT have a softball game so I guess he just went ahead and assumed I did.

@Kate, my bad, I missed that part. I tend to agree that he’s not acting like he’s interested. I have so many questions for this guy now, he seems like a very confusing person.

I missed the softball part too. Sorry! Still, I wouldn’t even consider going out with him again unless he had a fun day or evening planned that also involved a meal. Also, I would definitely not get a hold of him first.

I would actually only respond to him if he clearly said the statement, “I want to come over and meet your beagles”

That’s my opinion too, KTF. He knows that a home-cooked meal was an option / offer, and it would be really easy for him, if he’s interested, to reach out and take her up on it, or suggest a different date. It’s definitely his turn to initiate.

I had a good date! We’re going out on Saturday too, but after that, I think we’re both busy on weekends for a couple of weeks.
