He’s blunt but he’s giving real advice and perspective that’s more useful than a “yay girl! Go for it!!!!” for something that’s clearly not working.
Right. It’s a refreshingly different and honest perspective. I wish I’d had a voice like his in my life when I was letting the assholes get me down. The time I could have saved!!
I just found it amusing that he was formerly complaining about this thread, and now he’s talking about it IRL. I’m not hating on jimmyjam. I find him generally pretty amusing. I didn’t attack him or call him out for anything.
I also didn’t argue against tinder as mainly a hookup app, I merely said most of the single friends I have had that have used tinder have found relationships on it. That it can work either way. And that’s probably more indicative of my friends and our general age group.
I don’t really want to talk about TT or that situation anymore and I don’t really see anything wrong with being excited about my new dishwasher. Especially if I am working on myself and my house right now. So that’s what I’m gonna focus on: my self, my house, and my brand-new shiny dishwasher . And I’ll be happy to Netflix by myself today.

I do know couples that have met on tinder, but both girls have one similar characteristic: no sex until they are for sure on the same page relationship wise. I’m just not that kind of person, but I think it makes sense to have that attitude if you are using an app like tinder looking for something long term. Because other than those two relationships, I’ve never met a guy using tinder for relationships. I know guys that use it to meet people casually, and sometimes it develops into a relationship. And I know guys that try to line up a different date every night. I think after PMP, I’ll try bumble.
My mom gave my number to a frien’s son. He’s young for my taste, but we are texting a bit to see if we want to go on a date or something. Idk if he has his life together enough.
And now I’m going to get hot chocolate with my FWB. Then I’m assuming sex. Then I have to work on end of year reports because I was off Friday.
