I recently bought these in burgundy- they’re really cute, not clunky!

Eta: I bought the 3″ heel but they also come in 2″ too!Cheap:
These I think are perfect:
Ktfran I like the ones Kare picked out! You’ll have to let us know which ones you decide to go with!
Any recommendations for flats that will go well with pant and skirt suits? New job requires me to be on my feet for several hours doing photography, sometimes on hard marble floors and I need good, quality flats that will look nice with my suits. I’ve looked at Tieks but I’ve heard mixed reviews. Any thoughts?
I just bought these and they are really comfortable! And kind of clunky/cute?

THeir flats are kind of on the sporty side, but super comfy!

I’m going to an artist talk at a nearby museum/art gallery. Normally I’d wear whatever I wore to work, especially because the talk is open to the public, but I have a connection and got invited to a reception afterwards (wine/appetizers) followed by a fairly small dinner with the artist. I’m not sure how many people will be at the dinner, but probably not a lot. Should I go business, business casual, cocktail dress, or something else?
Ooh, Ver… I like these that Ale sent:
A little bit of a heel, but I think those would still be comfortable for standing all day. Then again, I don’t really have a problem hanging out in most heels.
Portia, what do you usually wear to work? I think nice slacks, blouse, blazer and statement piece of jewlery would look good. Blazer optional. Or a dress. I wear a lot of dresses at work events.
Ok, do you have a sheath dress, maybe black, maybe a color? Not showing too much leg or cleavage? I have a black J Crew one, to the knee, flattering fit, etc. You could wear it to work, with whatever comfortable shoe, then throw on a heel, one statement accessory, and have a clutch that you can take out of your work bag and use as a purse. Done!
