I’m in a wheelchair and I make it visible in most of my pictures. I also reference it in the written part (“Looking for a guy who is comfortable giving my chair a push and scooping me up into the car when we go on adventures”)
I would definitely rather have someone know up front so they can decide if they’re comfortable with it. It would be so awkward to just spring that on somebody when you first meet them!!TheHizzyJune 28, 2017 at 8:15 am #692089Hey everyone. I have been battling with Spectrum for MONTHS on an issue. Here’s the high overview
Bought a house ordered Spectrum (TWC) for internet. They came, ran the line in front of the house said someone would come back to bury it. That was April 16. It’s still not buried. It needs to be in the backyard! I have been fighting with them and getting with my neighbors only to have them NOT show up. When they do show up they refuse to do the work. Now they’re saying they have to bring the cops to get access rights when all neighbors are working with them. They claim they’re denied access. No one ever approaches the house.Anyway! I have posted this on their Facebook page and I’m trying to get it “liked” and “shared” as much as possible to get them to realize their techs are lying. If you go to their page and look on visitor posts you’ll see it. Feel free to go like or share it. I’m getting SOME results. I’ve tried calling and every other means to work with them. They’re constantly blaming everyone else. It has a photo attached. You can’t miss it.
@Ale The results of my super unscientific social experiment so far: Two unmatched me, five responded, and 10 didn’t take any action within the 24-hour period Bumble allows before auto-unmatching is. Of the five I’m talking to, three are easy enough to talk to. Two will respond to my questions but aren’t great at moving the conversation along. I predict those two will be first to fizzle.
TheLadyEJuly 5, 2017 at 1:34 pm #692830I’m here with an exciting update: a little more than two weeks ago, I ended my dating break, got back on OKCupid, and sent a message to a cute guy who’s incredibly smart, witty, and very involved with groups advocating for social justice. He liked me just as much as I liked him (maybe more, lol), asked me out for the next day, and we just clicked immediately. This past weekend we made our relationship exclusive. He is amazing and everything is just so easy with him! It’s super early but I am really excited to see where this goes. 🙂
@TheLadyE that is a great update!
So… this thread is approaching two years now. So much has changed in two years. I remember when I first started reading this thread I was happy I was not dating but in a relationship. And now I’m on the other side. Really afraid that I’ll end up alone. -
