I often wonder if I’ll run into Pilot Jones whenever I’m at the airport on my way to the UK to visit my boyfriend lol. Still can’t believe that idiot texted me.
@Rangerchic… yes they were pretty good. I mean, it’s not something I would make a habit of, but they weren’t bad at all.

I feel lucky in that I haven’t had any run-ins with any exes. I don’t know how I haven’t. I once thought I saw one (the worst of the bunch) at a Wal-Mart and I turned and high-tailed it the other way so I don’t know if it was him or not. That was years ago. I don’t think I’d have the same reaction today but honestly don’t know (he was very manipulative and emotionally abusive).
It feels like a Friday today…I’m so ready for the weekend!
Feels like Friday here, too! My office is already pretty quiet. We had a big catered holiday lunch today. It’s always hard to come back to work after something like that.
i was at shakespeare theater on sunday seeing the Q Brothers Christmas Carol with a friend.. and the guy she had seen and then seen off and on (he was sorta shady) was there and SAT BEHIND US with his entire family and his girlfriend who he has never been honest with my friend about (she suspects and can confirm that there was overlap.. and his excuses for not dating my friend were always ‘ i have to fix myself’.) anyway.. so thats a run in for sure
i have nightmares that I will run into my exhusband at an industry event
@MaterialsGirl Yikes! Yeah, that sounds super uncomfortable. Do you think the guy’s girlfriend knew who your friend is?
Nope, but I think his kids recognized their ‘dad’s friend’ (they’re all 20’s and 30’s).
In her mind, she just wants him to be honest. “hey there’s someone else” and stop making promises to her to hang out that he has zero intention of keeping. anyway, that was pretty much like.. okay thanks universe.
I’ve been dating my farmer bf for over 3 months now. We live a transient life right now and are spending time canyoneering, rock climbing (his thing), backpacking and exploring caves. Once the farming season gets back in the spring we will spend our summer in Oregon again.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas (for those who celebrate) or holiday season with the family (if that’s how you celebrate).
FMH and I are heading to my home state to look at wedding venues and try on some wedding dresses.
@Trixy, that sounds great (as I myself enjoy the outdoors). Also, spent a week in Oregon this August and loved it.
I think I’ve never felt lonelier than during this holiday season. I am about to cry at work, everybody is saying their goodbyes until next year, and well, I’m alone. My family never really celebrates Christmas, there has never been a big dinner or anything. There are some traditions, but nothing major. Friends celebrate Christmas with their families. So, anyways, I hope 2018 will treat me better.
Ohh @Ale. Then maybe time to make your own traditions? What do you love doing? How do you like spoiling yourself? Is it getting the best champagne, getting in a bubble bath? Or perhaps volunteer to help a homeless charity etc so you’re doing good but also not alone? Personally my thing is …Baileys & all the good canapes you can find, watching Annie/Wizard of Oz/ It’s a Wonderful Life/Muppet Christmas Carol. Oh singing every single Christmas song I can YouTube out loud & tunelessly.
And before I hit the Baileys I take a walk or drive to see all the houses that have good/cheesy light displays as it makes me happy & feel like a child. I do have my boyfriend now but we can’t spend actual Christmas day together but do the meal etc a few days later. So I’m continuing my own traditions.
