Boston is usually like that too, but in
2015 we had like 100 inches or more of snow, and then last year we had these “bomb cyclone” nor’easter snow storms with a super moon or some shit, so the sea came flooding in in January and people were walking on ice floes and being rescued from their offices in boats. A dumpster floated down the street. This year there’s been NO snow yet. Couple flurries but nothing stuck.Just over 24 hours of this cold and I am done!! DONE!! My nose is so raw from wiping it that my skin is bleeding and that’s with the special lotion tissues. Full faucet mode. Driving me nuts. I can’t take any decongestant with my beta blockers which suckkkkksssssss!!!! Luckily the body aches are handled with Advil. Oddly I am starving though.
I did make some delicious chicken noodle soup in my Instant Pot. Found yet another reason I love that thing. Quick food when sick! I am just getting into using it and am figuring out just how to use it I am loving it!
I was a faucet for well over a week! I was so frustrated on Saturday, trying to work out and not being able to breathe. My nose was red and dry from blowing it, so of course I’d try to cover it with makeup before going to work, only to keep blowing my nose throughout the day. My decongestant meds helped very little. It’s finally (mostly) better today!
On day 14 of Whole30 and felt weirdly body confident this morning. Still have a little ways to go with weight loss but I can tell my bloating is down significantly from two weeks ago. I feel like any progress made after this point will be “real” progress instead of water weight.
I haven’t been following my diet at all since being sick. I am just eating what I feel I can. Was worried I may be getting way off track but looks like I am doing fine, luckily. No working out though or I surely would pass out. I am getting worse, not better, which is lovely. Hoping this calms down soon. The body aches are intense and not subsiding.

The same thing happens here (with grocery runs) in the snow and I live in Colorado…It’s not like they are not used to getting snow. Now in NW Arkansas snow was unusual so I can kind of understand it more there.
We made the long trip from here back home to Arkansas over the weekend. We left here on Thursday which was a good thing because everyone was getting hit with snow on Friday. And by the time we drove home Sunday the roads were clear though most of Kansas was covered. While back in AR we stayed with my brother and his fam one night and he came down with strep. Yay…and almost everyone was getting over some kind of cold or another. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed I don’t get sick. I’m just still exhausted from the drive on Sunday. 12 hours in the car!
Hope your not getting the flu @JD!
