I am NOT getting sick again, I am NOT getting sick again. Repeat. Achey body thing going on. Really don’t have time this week. Such a busy week and no one to do what needs to be done but me….of course husband would help but he of course has to work and I don’t want him taking more time off right now as he was barely in the office due to the weather (like most) for 2 weeks then had the trip to CA and already has a Dr appointment this week.
Hydrating like a crazy person. I think I will make that chicken noodle soup again in my Instant Pot since he wanted that again anyway soon.
Oh but woohoo the desk I finally decided on comes today. Only took me three months to pick one.
@JD – I am in denial about being sick as well lol. I slept from 830 pm to 1030 am Saturday and MofV had to check and make sure I was alive because I NEVER sleep later than he does. Usually up no later than 7. I needed that rest though and felt so much better. Just dealing with sinus foolishness now
Glad your desk is home!
Oh ya. I forgot I also slept like crazy yesterday. I assumed it was just because I had a few drinks the night before and apparently a few for me now means a lot to my body. Waking up today clearly I was sleeping for other reasons. I also never sleep past 7, usually up much earlier but went until about 10 yesterday then took a nap and went to bed around 7:30 although I think officially passed out around 8:30.
Fight the power!! The sickness that is.
So I to am in denial about the sick thing. The sneezing and body aches mean nothing!!
so I took everyone’s advice on the wine tasting thing and wore a nice top, slacks and a pair of ballet flats. decided against extra makeup but went and had a mani so I felt more confident. Before the event the AG and I went out to eat…where someone promptly spilled their drink with me in the splash zone. Luckily I was a bit nervous so I had brought an extra dress with me, in case I felt like I was underdressed when I saw him. So I changed into dress, dealt with having cold legs and away we went.
I was nervous for the first hour but it was so good to meet his people and learn a few new pieces of him. All in all went well and I’m so glad we did it. Thanks for all the fashion advice guys!
TheHizzyFebruary 11, 2019 at 2:45 pm #830614So I’m sure you guys are sick of hearing about this but I had a kind of crazy thing happen. But it’s not really crazy.
We registered mostly for a honey-fund but also for some kitchen/home items that really need replaced for the wedding. My plan was to buy items after the wedding and we have a discount to “complete our registry.” I have a shower back home in March and I was just excited to have all these wonderful women in one room to spend time with. In my mind I wasn’t expecting any gifts.
But then it happened…..items are being bought off our registry! In the back of my mind I wasn’t expecting anything from anyone and we are so pleasantly surprised. One item is a big ticket item that we really needed, and hesitated to put on the registry. We are less than 4 months out now!!
@alafair Glad it went well! Isn’t it funny how we can go from stressed about not meeting a guy’s people to being stressed about how omg we’re meeting a guy’s people? That was my experience.
I need a moment to gush about BG. Friday, we went to his neighbor’s comedy show and after went with his neighbor and some of her friends for a drink. BG was tired after his travel ordeal last Thursday, and it showed. One of the neighbor’s friends who came was an older coworker with her husband who had some pretty significant memory issues. He kept asking the same questions over and over. I noticed people, including his wife, getting a bit exasperated by it. But not BG. He was so patient and kind even though he was exhausted, answering and re-answering every question… never mentioned the question had already been asked and answered, never cutting corners in his responses, never changing his tone. By now, yeah, I of course know he’s a nice guy — he’s good to me, nice to everyone I’ve introduced him to, sweet to my dog. I think this was the first time I really realized that he extends that same genuine kindness even to total strangers, and it gave me major heart eyes.
We’re moving to CA! JK. But the husband was just offered a promotion on the west coast. Luckily, he doesn’t want the headache of being more “corporate”. He claimed he had to talk to his wife. They asked is she could relocate and he said well, she works here. Lol. My god, they’d need to double both of our salaries and we still wouldn’t want it.
And @theHizzy… I was the same way, but people want to buy you gifts.
@Copa – Ha! You are exactly right. I really was worried about not meeting his people. And then I was so stressed about finally meeting his people.
your BG (I think I mentioned here that I met the AG on Bumble too?) sounds like such a good person. I’d have the major heart eyes all day too. I’m so happy for you.
@TheHizzy – I love the wedding updates. It makes me smile every single time.I really MUST find a way to stop sleeping funny on my arm. New pillows arrive Thurs so let’s hope that helps. I have odd sleeping positions from when I broke my femur, as I couldn’t roll over on my own in the night when that happened. 21 years later and I still sleep in these weird positions. Love to my mother for rolling me over a couple times a night when I was 15 and that happened. I am sure that was like having an infant all over again.
Weather is CRAP today, husband is working from home and was supposed to go in at 1 but the roads are getting worse and worse. Just need Thursday to not be too awful, or at the very least not too cold.
