@Copa that sounds lovely.
MofV and I have lived together now for almost four months. I wouldn’t have wanted to do it this way forever, but the ring is picked out and at this point just waiting for him to do the actual proposal. We’ve talked about purchasing some land to build a house on later this year or next year but both agreed we want to be married before we buy real estate together.
Living with him has really been great since we were in a LDR. We both are able to work and keep our hobbies but I get to see my best friend when I get home each day instead of counting the days until the weekend. I’ve sort of forgotten what it was like before him, except that I had more room in bed. And also we are investing in a King size bed sooner rather than later lol.
So relieved for you Ale.
How did you manage to buy a condo and plan a wedding at the same time ktfran? That said I really like your timeline.
As much as I miss my bf while he is away, I do get so much done by myself like laundry, cleaning the unit, cooking, etc. Dating takes time!
April 13, 2019 at 9:20 am #840905@veritek33 I laugh at the bed upgrade as I am having the same issue with my BF. We aren’t living together yet, but we both have Queens, which we thought would be enough room, and it really isn’t. We have resorted to having two separate duvets so we don’t accidentally hog the one on his bed. I got that from Germany, a school acquaintance lives there and posted how they typically use a duvet for each person in bed. That has helped, but we still have the issue of limbs getting in the way haha
@hfantods, we had a small wedding. Immediate family only brunch/ceremony then party on our roof for friends the same evening. No seating charts! No favors! No table arrangements! No entrance walk! The only thing I stressed over was making sure we had enough food because I love food. We hired that out though.

https://i.imgur.com/VXZO5f8.jpgI’m getting more excited now! We are less than 2 months away. Alterations are life! I can’t get over how much better the dress looks and feels. I kind of laugh at how mom was like “You don’t need alterations it looks fine”
Nah, I want as close to perfect as I can get! 🙂
The dress looks great, @TheHizzy! And so do your traps. 😉
As an aside, but your update made me think of this, one of my friends is getting married next month. She and her fiance have been together for something like seven years and lived together as long as I’ve known her (about two years). Saw them two weekends ago and asked if they were nervous. They said they were most nervous about their parents meeting for the first time, which happened yesterday. I was a bit blown away that their families hadn’t met yet since both live in the suburbs of our city!
TheHizzyApril 15, 2019 at 11:14 am #841129Thanks ladies!
@Copa the funny thing is I really wanted to show off my shoulders/arms and hell …. body! My mom kept trying to put me in stuff that pushed her insecurities. I think she’s loving the dress more and more when she’s seeing how good it looks!
KApril 15, 2019 at 3:36 pm #841153@Cleopatra_30 we also use two separate quilts/duvets! He claims I hog it, which if I do, is in the middle of the night while I’m asleep so I’m not aware of it.
